Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Shantz
Kate, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My current path and journey started ten years ago when I made the decision to leave a job that I had been in since university. My physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health had deteriorated and my heart was screaming out to me to leave the very corporate environment that I had been in for years.
In hindsight, I see that my awakening actually started happening in 2012 after an incredibly challenging and emotionally draining year at work. That was not the world that I wanted to exist in anymore. One that was grey and where I felt like a bird frantically beating her wings against the golden cage that I had put myself in. No paycheque, no promise of a golden retirement, and no guarantee of fitting in with the crowd could keep me caged any longer.
From 2015 onward, I began exploring the spiritual side of life. Meditating. Being in Nature. Learning about my natal chart in Astrology. Working with crystals. Calling on oracle and tarot cards for assistance. Writing.
In 2018, my writing began to change. I was channeling. From my Guides. From the Cosmos. From Mother Earth. They would wake me up at 3am and I would write it all out in the notebook beside my bed. Half asleep.
In 2021, Venus appeared to me in a meditation. She spoke to me and I spoke to her.
In 2022, my Animal Communication abilities came online with the arrival of our puppy.
In 2023, I completed my Master Usui Reiki and Cosmic Conscious Reiki Initiate certificates.
And through all of this, I honed my connection to my Guides, my Body, the Cosmos, Mother Earth, and the Feminine.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
By starting this journey, I really had to strip away a lot of what I had believed to be true for much of my life.
Much of this was societal programming, specifically related to uniformity and conformity, meaning that everyone must follow the same path: go to school, work in a well-paying job doing something that everyone understands, get married, have children, buy a house, and launch into retirement with a golden parachute. When I started this journey, I really had to swim against the mainstream and all of the expectations and judgments that come from it.
The most profound part of my journey was finding the courage to unlock my voice, to show up in my truth, and most importantly, to speak my truth. Much of the healing that I did to get to this place was releasing the fear of being shunned and cast out from family, friend, and societal groups for using my voice and staying steady in my convictions around my truth, the way that I was going to live my life, and my sovereignty.
Finally, patience related to the concept of time was a big lesson for me. By actively and intentionally starting on a spiritual journey – which is really a healing journey – I quickly realized that time is not linear as we have been taught to believe in this world. It is a spiral journey. One step forward, two steps backwards. On this journey, accomplishments don’t happen through force and control. They happen through releasing control and getting to a place of trust that all will unfold for my best and highest good.
Truly, unravelling years of programming was the biggest part of my journey and what brought through the biggest hurdles that I needed to face.

I am a Planet & Animal Channeler, a Golden Lion Heart Healer, and a Reiki Master.
I am a Guide leading people back Home to their Hearts, helping them find the Truth of who they are.
Our Truth is always housed in our Hearts. I offer various readings, all of which focus on leading my clients back to their Heart:
Planet Readings – each Planet represents a different archetype. In these readings, I tune into which Planets would like to step forward to provide guidance to my client. Different Planets will step forward for different people, as we all have our own unique journeys and challenges that we are navigating. The Planets who I work with are:
Mercury – the throat, the voice, the channel
Pluto – death, rebirth, evolution, darkness – for we need to face the Dark to bring through the Light
Uranus – the liberator, the chain breaker, the freedom seeker
Neptune – the wise spiritual sage, the unseen, the magic waters that swim within us all
Moon – the wise priestess, the feminine, the unknown and the known. When we can learn to dance with the mystery of our intuition and soul, we begin to understand their unique languages
Sun – the spark of Light, igniting our Heart, our purpose, our lifeblood
Mars – the strong, unrelenting warrior who spurs us on to the victory of our soul
Saturn – the wise masculine, the sage, the boundary setter
We all hold these archetypes within us. Each Planet is here to help bring out the specific medicine that the client needs at the point in their life that we have connected.
Animal Readings – I believe that the Animals are an incredible and untapped source of guidance and healing for humanity. The Animals vibrate at a much higher level than many humans. They are able to tap into energies and frequencies that provide immense wisdom.
All Animals are here on this Earth now as beacons of Light for humanity, but in particular, if you have a pet, you have made a unique soul contract with them to receive their guidance.
In my Animal readings, I connect in with my client’s pet to channel through the guidance that they have for their human. We can ask our pets anything: Do they like their food? Are they happy? How is their health? While all of these are incredibly important things to know, I find that the majority of my Animal Readings focus on my client’s pets providing them with information on how to connect back to their Truth. The Truth of who they are. Their True voice. Every pet has signed up to be a Light in the dark for their human in order to lead them back to these Truths.
Golden Lion Heart Healing – I regularly work with the Heart (Love) and the Lion frequencies that exist on this Earth. These are codes that my soul has chosen to embody in this lifetime and I have been urged to help guide others towards these codes that also exist within them.
I do this by connecting in with my client’s Golden Lion Heart (we all have one). Here, the Heart will point me to a Truth that wants to be revealed to the client. This Truth can be about any area of their life: themselves, a relationship, a job, a crossroads that they are at. Anything life related can be brought to light. I pull through the guidance from their Heart around how to practically live and embody a particular Truth. This will essentially set someone free and release them from the stagnancy that they are experiencing.
Reiki is woven into each of my Readings. I am guided to different areas of my client’s body where there is healing that is required. I work with many Guides during this process who help me in clearing the client’s blockages:
– the Rose energies
– the Pleiadians and the Arcturians
– the Fairies
– Mary Magdalene
– Mother Mary
– the Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Honestly, the biggest risk that I have taken on this journey was stepping out from the crowd and using my voice to share my Truth.
The wounding that my soul came to heal and transcend in this lifetime was my fear of using my voice and being my true self. This was incredibly scary for me, as my biggest fear was being rejected and shunned by family, friends, community, and the world. So for me, to step out and share my Readings, to begin publicly channeling, and showing my true Heart to the world, was a huge risk.
Was I shunned? Yes, by some. But I now see the gift in this. Because it was no longer an option for me to hide my light, my gifts, and my heart. And by now sharing my true self in this way, I have made space for my soul family, my soul friends, and my soul clients to step into my life. A life filled with freedom, sovereignty, zero censorship, and love. A life where conditional love in relationships no longer exists.
It is my mission to serve others and to inspire them to use their voice and to show their heart. I could not be doing this if I never took the risk to use my own voice and share my own heart.
