There is one story amongst many that has stayed with me throughout my career—a story that reminds me why I do what I do.
A woman in her early 40s came to see me, burdened by a struggle that had quietly stolen so much from her life. She suffered from severe urinary incontinence—so much so that she wore adult diapers every day. This wasn’t just a physical inconvenience; it was an emotional weight. She lived in constant fear of accidents, always scanning for the nearest restroom, and felt disconnected from the vibrant, impactful life she wanted to lead at work. Most painfully, she didn’t feel comfortable in her own skin like she did before. Read more>>

My children designed the sticker after their dad passed away with a Lobster representing their Dads occupation as a fisherman and the Blue Ribbon representing Colorectal Cancer intertwined around the lobster.
They came up with the name TestForToby so we could raise Colorectal Cancer Awareness while honouring their dad.
The sticker started out just being passed to friends & family to put on their vehicles but has really took off. People have taken it on vacations all over the world and have posted it everywhere. Read more>>

Not a week passed without a patient being grateful for the physiotherapy services I provided. For 17 years, I believe every patient I’ve touched is not coincidence. From students, peers, families, and physicians, my career has been laden with stories of success and smiles, even with the “hard cases.” I read a patient tattoo which stated, “my scars remind me, they don’t define me’. She later shared her story about surviving a gunshot wound to the back of her head. She survived a traumatic brain injury and living to tell her story of surviving domestic violence. She told me “Ms. Kelli, I don’t let many people touch my scars, but you can.” It is moments like these that encourage me to strive to do my best for these patients. Read more>>

One of the most heartwarming transformations we’ve witnessed at VW Wellness was with a 13-year-old girl who came to us struggling with severe acne. She was quiet, withdrawn, and so self-conscious she barely made eye contact—she didn’t want anyone to see her face. Her mom had tried everything and was heartbroken seeing her daughter lose her confidence at such a tender age. Read more>>

There have been so many moments that stay with me, but a few in particular really highlight why I do what I do.
One of the most heartwarming patterns I’ve seen over the years is how women come to me with such low self-esteem — not just about their bodies, but about themselves as a whole. They’re tired, worn down, and unsure of what they’re capable of. But then… they step into the gym. We start small. I guide them through movement, strength work, and gradually, they begin to see themselves differently. They realize how strong they are — physically, mentally, emotionally. I literally watch their confidence build session by session. They start walking taller, speaking more confidently and trusting themselves more. Not because their body changed, but because they changed. Their energy shifted. That inner light turned back on. Read more>>

At the beginning of 2016, I had let my body get unhealthy while working and taking care of my Mother-in-law. When I came to the realization, I started working towards and achieved a healthy body. Little did I know, later that year I would answer the call to be tested and was a match to donate my kidney to my niece. Read more>>
