Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Pierce
Hi Dylan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was 12 years old I wanted to become a YouTuber. My friends and I everyday after school would hop on Xbox or meet up and try to create some sort of content. It didn’t matter what the content was we just had the urge to constantly create and have fun. That same urge to create carried through middle school and high school and eventually become my fulltime job. I didn’t want to do anything but make videos and that love for what I was doing helped me stay consistent and build a business doing what I love with my friends.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! All I heard from many people throughout the beginning was, “Get a real job!” Or “You’ll never make money doing that.” It honestly sucked hearing it and sometimes would convince me I couldn’t do it. That being said it was also my fuel. I wanted nothing more than to prove them wrong. Even when I was making absolutely no money and couldn’t afford to get gas or groceries. I just wanted to accomplish my dreams and show them I was capable. I was so determined to achieve my dreams, no one believed in me as much as myself. I learned that no one knows what you’re capable of but yourself— as cheesy as that sounds. I am so glad that my voice out weighed the negative comments in my head. I’d say that there are definitely still struggles but being happy doing what I love makes all the hard work worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I create social media content with my friends. I’d say what sets us apart is our combination of using the automotive niche with comedy. I like to think when people watch our videos they feel like they’re a part of our friend group. We also like to focus on storytelling and using our stories and friend group to connect with the audience. I’m honestly most proud of how quick my friends and I adapt to situations on camera. I always feel so blessed that I can throw my friends and myself into a situation and we’re able to create a story or joke out of what’s happening in front of us.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My determination to chase my goals no matter what.
