Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kesha Clark. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kesha , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
KClark Skin started with intention while I was still in esthetician school. While I was there to education myself about skin health and performing services. I was also thinking about building my own brand and stepping into the industry on my own terms right after graduating.
As I was learning, I noticed a gap. A lot of estheticians were offering services, but not many were truly focused on corrective results-driven skincare for skin of color. Clients were trying trends and quick fixes but weren’t seeing real, lasting improvements. That’s what stood out to me.
I knew I wanted KClark Skin to be different centered around skin health, barrier repair, and customized routines, not one-size-fits-all treatments. I was especially drawn to approaches like Korean skincar which prioritize long-term results over aggressive, temporary solutions.
What made it feel like a worthwhile endeavor was the demand. Skincare is ongoing and people are always looking for guidance they can trust. I knew if I focused on real results and education, I could build strong client relationships and long-term loyalty.
So I started building KClark Skin before I even finished school and everything I do now still reflects that original vision: corrective skincare, consistency and long lasting results.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
KClark Skin was created with a clear purpose: to provide results-driven, corrective skincare for clients who are ready to truly transform their skin not just temporarily improve it.
I’m a licensed esthetician specializing in corrective skincare with a strong focus on treating concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, and compromised skin barriers. My journey into this industry started during esthetician school, where I became deeply interested in not just performing treatments, but understanding skin at a clinical level how it functions, how it heals and how to correct it long-term. I knew early on that I didn’t want to offer surface-level services. I wanted to build a brand rooted in education consistency, and real results.
KClark Skin offers customized treatment plans that combine in-office services with intentional home care. I integrate advanced techniques and a strong emphasis on barrier repair, often incorporating principles from Korean skincare and professional skincare focusing on hydration, skin health and long-term correction rather than quick fixes. Every client experience is customized.
The main problems I solve for my clients are frustration, inconsistency and misinformation of skincare. Many of my clients come to me after trying multiple products, trends, or providers without seeing real progress.
I provide structure, accountability and a clear treatment plan so they’re no longer guessing what their skin needs. My approach is corrective, but also realistic. I educate my clients on what it truly takes to achieve healthy skin, including time, consistency, patience and proper product use.
What sets KClark Skin apart is the level of intention behind everything I do. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatments or overcomplicating routines. I focus on what works, backed by knowledge and experience, and I guide my clients every step of the way. My brand is built on trust, transparency, and results.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation both in my clients’ skin and their confidence. Seeing someone go from feeling insecure about their skin to fully confident without makeup is what drives me. Beyond that, I’m proud of creating a space where clients feel educated, supported and empowered.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
At KClark Skin, the most effective stategy for growing has been has been building real trust. Most of my clients come through word of mouth and referrals, which is the best kind of marketing. When someone sees a friend’s/coworker’s/family member’sskin looking amazing after a treatment, they’re already sold before they even walk in. It’s all about letting the results speak for themselves.
I also stay active in the community by attending local events like fitness groups, walking groups, and networking meetups. These are great opportunities to meet people in person and talk about what I do in a more personal way. It helps me connect with people who value health and self-care, and many of them end up becoming long-term clients because they’ve met the person behind the brand.
My social media acts as a digital portfolio to back everything up. It gives potential clients a “sneak peak” so they can see my modern, clean studio and professional results before they book. It’s a great way to stay top of mind and show off the clinical side of the business in a way that feels approachable and high-end.
Finally, Google Business reviews are huge for closing the deal. I’ve had many clients tell me they booked just from reading the feedback online. When people see a consistent stream of five-star reviews, it gives them that final “push” to trust me with their skin. The real secret is the mixture of all these things great treatments, local networking, a polished social page, and solid reviews which are all working together to keep the business growing.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building the reputation of KClark Skin has been rooted in professionalism, education, and the overall luxurious client experience.
From the beginning, I have positioned KClark Skin as a results-driven ,corrective skincare spa where knowledge comes first. Every service is intentional. Clients aren’t just receiving a facial, they are getting a customized treatment plan backed by proper skin analysis, advanced techniques, and a focus on skin health long term. That level of expertise builds trust and keeps clients consistent.
Equally important is the environment. I have created a space where clients immediately feel comfortable the moment they walk in. The spa is designed to be calm, welcoming, relaxing and centered around the sensory experience from the lighting and scent to the pace of each service. That attention to detail allows clients to fully relax while also feeling confident that they’re in professional hands.
That combination clinical, results-driven skincare paired with a thoughtful, elevated experience is what has helped KClark Skin stand out and build a strong, loyal reputation within the market.
