I believe that family businesses can be tremendously successful if what the family is creating a business around is something that multiple generations of the family are interested in it.
For example: I wouldn’t start an art business if my family is solely interested in financial literacy. The generations after mine would need to have some interest in art or I’d be setting myself up for failure. Read more>>

One of the greatest gifts I have received working with my family members is knowing I can count on them to help me complete the project successfully. We all wear many hats and we are able to interchange them cohesively. It takes effective communication and a great deal of patience with each other and that is what makes us a successful team.
