My heroes are my five kids!! Who I love forever dearly. Lesson I’ve learned from my super heroes is I’m really stronger than what the eye can see. And I say that meaning in numerous ways like mentally spiritually and physically. They influence me so much. I’m an overly caring, loving, pure hearted being. But having them in my life cause to pour those attributes into my kids more. Taking the veil off my eyes. I looked at life from a different perspective because of my kids. You there is no book how to to love, cherish, and raise kids. I’m the oldest of 8. So seeing my mom take care my siblings, taking care my kids came naturally. Read more>>

In 2017, I gave birth to my daughter Georgia. At a month old, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Trisomy 18, or Edwards’ Syndrome. Back then, the statistics for survival were pretty low… only ten percent of newborns survived their first year, but in spite of her heart defects and the odds, Georgia is now eight years old. My hero is my Granny, Marge Beard. After she and my grandfather divorced, she had no formal education, no job, and no backup plan—but she had grit. She turned her love for planning parties into a successful career as a wedding and event planner at the Ramada Inn in Laurel, Mississippi. She taught me that a woman should always have her own education and never depend on anyone else.
