Well in my industry there’s this thing in which people or outsiders believe its ok to ask an artist or a creative to work for “exposure” acting as if its some sort magical opportunity that will open a million doors and have money flowing in. We live in a time where competition seems to be the focus rather then worrying about oneself and what they have to offer. I’ve never believed in competition when it comes to others that do what I do. Being yourself and making that marketable. Whether it’s music or merch, I see the same problems. Most of the time artists or business owners with their own clothing line are too focused on either following a trend or being too different. Be yourself. It works everytime.
