In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “small details” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

As a part of the Artist & Label Relations team at music video network Vevo, I work with artists and their teams day in and day out to make sure their content gets to a global audience in the most effective way. One of the most common questions I receive is, “Has the rise of short-form content led to a decline in official music videos?” The short answer is, “Absolutely not.” It’s not a matter of one replacing the other; it’s about how both forms of content can work seamlessly together to encourage discovery and create a dedicated fanbase. The biggest trend I am seeing currently is the push for AI generated images, illustrations, logos, artwork, etc. I believe it undermines individuality, creativity, and drains creative work of any meaning. It is also a huge drain on our natural resources due to energy and water use. I have had several clients come to me for help after trying an AI platform or using a designer who is secretly using AI to generate design work, which I see as unethical. I think corporations see it as a way to save money by not employing humans. I am kind of surprised by creatives embracing it as it will lead to their eventual obsolesce. I think a better strategy is to be more strategic and work to build skills on analog and hand artwork skills that cannot be replicated by AI. Read more>>

Storytelling is the biggest trend for any brand to develop. There is so much product in market, so how should you spend your money and with whom? Putting products on the shelves and online is just not enough. We, as brands, need to evoke emotions and develop a relatable story for the our audience to create synergies and community. This helps drives conversion. Read more>>

Some of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the hair & makeup wedding industry are softer glam looks using pink and peach tones rather than neutrals, monochromatic makeup, fully down glamour waves, and the mid-way up-do (That midway being my personal favorite)
With these new trends I’m seeing the need to educate other beauty professionals on how to achieve these styles. With my new business launching this month (The Beauty Room Lou) I hope to offer 1-on-1 training for other local professionals, I also hope to offer educational videos via our Instagram page. One of the most exciting trends we’re seeing in the travel industry right now is the demand for highly customized, experiential travel. At 4 Seven Travel, we’ve noticed this trend growing, particularly with travelers who want to engage with local cultures in meaningful ways. Instead of just checking off tourist sites, they want to explore local traditions, taste regional foods, and live like a local—if only for a little while. Read more>>

The fashion industry is currently witnessing several key trends. Sweatsuits and loungewear continue to dominate as comfort is very important. Bold prints, vibrant colors, and relaxed silhouettes are also gaining popularity. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the rise of comfort-focused fashion trends. Sales of loungewear increased due to people spending more time at home. High fashion brands adapted to the demand for comfort by incorporating more comfortable fabrics into their designs. Additionally, another significant trend is sustainability. Consumers are increasingly seeking eco-friendly and ethically produced clothing. Many fashion brands are responding by using sustainable materials and more transparent supply chains. Read more>>

The beverage and event space is evolving rapidly, and some of the biggest trends I’ve noticed center around personalization, sustainability, elevated experiences, and the obvious rise of non-alcoholic cocktails. Clients are no longer satisfied with just great cocktails—they want something that feels tailor-made, whether it’s a custom menu that tells their story or unique garnishes that turn every drink into a conversation starter.
