In our view there is already a ton of coverage of the trends that ivory tower professors and billionaire fund managers are seeing. What’s the edge in hearing the billionaire consensus view over and over again?
The edge comes from hearing new perspectives and new information like from the wedding planner who has worked with hundreds of couples during the pandemic and has noticed that couples are allocating significantly more of their wedding budgets on “small details” like personalized neon signs and eco-friendly customized digital invitations rather than paper invites. Or the accountant seeing how there’s a huge uptick in ecommerce clients generating revenue from in person popups.
Below, you’ll find some of the most thoughtful entrepreneurs and creatives in across various industries and markets sharing the trends they are seeing.

One of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the influencer industry is the rise of micro and nano influencers. Brands are increasingly turning to these influencers because of their highly engaged and loyal audiences. Unlike mega-influencers or celebrities, micro and nano influencers often have a closer connection with their followers, which translates into more authentic and trustworthy content. I’ve worked with influencers from micro to mega and I always found that micro influencers were the most communicative during the collaboration process, had the highest engagement, and created the strongest content. I see a lot of fashion ideas coming to life it’s amazing to see because I also am getting more intrigued with my fashion style as well.. but it’s also a very thin line to that as well because it is a lot of copy and paste. A lot of people are following the trend and making things wash down which sucks because I feel like a lot of people should be doing there own style and not what other famous people are doing. You gotta be yourself and walk your own lane because if not you’ll end up in line with the rest of the group! Read more>>

I’ve spent the last year reintroducing film photography into my offerings, which is a massive trend in the wedding industry right now. Not just the look of film, recreated with a preset – but actual tactile film loaded into a camera. In the emerging age of AI, people are looking all the time for signs of humanity in the arts. There will always be a place for poised and tack sharp images and any photographer should be able to deliver them – but the messy, imperfect, delayed gratification of film is definitely being celebrated right now in the wedding and elopement industry. Being limited to 36 frames really forces you to slow down and be considerate of every single detail of the story in front of you, while allowing for a little magic to happen between you and your subject. One of the biggest trends I’m seeing in the fatherhood advocacy space is the growing emphasis on mental health and emotional intelligence among fathers. Traditionally, discussions around fatherhood have centered on providing and protecting, but there’s a noticeable shift towards encouraging dads to also nurture, express emotions, and seek help when needed. To illustrate this, I’ll share a story from my podcast, where I interviewed a father who initially struggled with the emotional aspects of parenting. He was raised to believe that fathers should be stoic and strong, never showing vulnerability. But as his son grew older, he realized that his emotional distance was creating a gap in their relationship. His son wasn’t opening up to him, and he didn’t know how to break through the wall they had unintentionally built. Read more>>

Writing fiction has evolved. It has never been easy, the first step used to be find an agent and that could take years, the next was submissions and waiting – and THAT took years. With the advent of the digital age, both those processes have become far more streamlined – and unnecessary. While publishers used to take control of your creative process and walk you through what they wanted, in return, they sponsored you and your book. The cost of advertising as well as the process of launching you was taken care of. That is simply not done anymore unless YOU pay for it separately. There are people who di it for you, but not your publisher. Read more>>

When dealing with home building or remodeling trends shift every few years so it’s very important to recognize people’s demands. One of the trends I’ve see the most is the preference of luxury vinyl plank and wood laminate floors especially with younger customers who have children and/or pets. They are cheaper alternatives to wood or tile and are very durable. So it’s become very important to be familiar with these products. Another big trend is the removal of carpet, especially in family areas of the home. Read more>>

Vinyl record sales have continued to increase year over year. Vinyl regained popularity in late 2010s and has carried its demand through the pandemic years and well into 2024. Vinyl variants have become very popular in recent years. Record labels and artists offer vinyl variants as a way to provide consumers several options to choose from. Some fans collect their favorite vinyl variant, several, or all variants of the same album to support their favorite artist. Read more>>
