Working on something meaningful is a common desire – but how? We started asking folks to share the story of how they ended up working on a project they felt was meaningful because we wanted inspiration but also because we wondered if hearing from people from across a range of industries would help us identify patterns making it more likely for anyone to be able to find and work on projects that they would find meaningful.

All 3 of my albums carry tremendous weight for me personally, but I think also for the jazz world artistically. I try to write and produce the most cutting-edge music, while still keeping a strong link to the past with reverence for the jazz tradition. Read More>>

The most meaningful project I have worked on is Habitats. It is the series that shaped my career and still feels as alive to me now as it did when I started it more than twenty years ago. I was in my twenties, fresh out of art school, trying to figure out what kind of artist I wanted to be. Read More>>

Modern Past Present was born from loss, love, and the desire to preserve memory. After my grandmother passed away in 2009, I found boxes of her photographs tucked away in closets — fragments of her life waiting to be seen again. I assembled them into one large art piece, layering decades of her story into a single image. Read More>>

The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is an ongoing ceramic exploration titled “Lo que no se ve” (what lies unseen). It emerged from a moment in my life where the contrast between what others perceived and what I was living internally became impossible to ignore. Read More>>

One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on was a Free Session Sunday we hosted at the Downtown Arlington Library with our beautiful friend Rayna. The whole idea behind Free Session Sundays was to offer our clients a complimentary session while also giving us space to expand our portfolio and create fresh marketing content from those shoots. Texas Runway is one of the most meaningful projects I have ever created because it represents the evolution of an idea that started with purpose, to showcase true role models and redefine what the fashion industry looks like in Texas. The journey began with our first show, Beyond The Runway, which was more than just a fashion event. Read More>>

My latest project BLOOM is an extremely meaningful project to me. I started working on these songs in 2023 while I was still living in San Diego. One track, titled ‘Could You’ I actually wrote over a decade ago when I was just 18 years old. Read More>>

I don’t know that any one project can ever be the ‘most’ meaningful.’ Each project shows up in my life in a way that shapes my life, my self, and my art profoundly. They are all deeply meaningful. I am an intense person—every moment, every conversation, every trip to the grocery store, is really meaningful to me. Read More>>

I think the most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my second album, ‘OH WELL’, that I created with some of my best friends, and bandmates. I had made my first album with my producer/engineer/maestro, Dreux Gerard, and was tremendously proud of it. But it was largely a solo effort, or it at least felt that way. Read More>>

I live in South Texas, approximately 15 minutes away from the Mexican/American border. One of the most meaningful projects I ever worked on was a project with world renowned Artist Ron English, Banksy, and a hand picked group of Texas artists. The project was called ‘The Welcome Wall’ and it was hosted by The National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas. Read More>>

Without a doubt, my most meaningful project has been my ‘UFOs By The Decade’ collection. Each piece in this collection is a hand-forged sterling silver representation of a recorded UFO sighting or a UFO shape from every decade since the 1930s. It started as a creative experiment but became something much deeper—a bridge between art, mystery, and human curiosity. Read More>>

Hmm. For me, it’s a tossup. I would split the answer to that question into two categories: ‘Past’ and ‘Present’. As far as ‘Past’, I would say that the most meaningful project I’ve ever worked on is my 2021 instrumental album ‘Do You Mind?!’. It’s a multi-layered project with more lore behind it than people realize. Read More>>

Writing music is a deeply meaningful process for me. My most recent single, ‘Girl In The Moon’, is special to me because it’s written for my daughter. She’s 12 now, and such a shining light and inspiration in my life. Every song I’ve ever written has some deep meaning for me, but this one felt so special being created. It was truly borne of love! 2025 was full of meaningful projects that helped expand my company’s reach. We started the year on a high from our first company television feature on Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta, promoting Disney Studios’ Moana 2 and our performance at the Atlanta premiere events where I choreographed the opening number. Working for Disney in any capacity can be a dream come true for many performers. Read More>>

The most meaningful project I’ve done would be creating the “Fragile” brand. This brand is a huge part of my life as it takes my past and turns it into a sign that things will get better. I lost my father to suicide in 2011 and realized how big of a problem suicide is in our country. Read More>>

The most meaningful project that I have worked on is my first feature, The Pushover. It’s because I wrote it back in 2011 as a short film. It was my very first script. At that time, I just wanted to see if I could write an entertaining story. I didn’t know much about structure or formatting. Read More>>
