Going back to school was a scary change. I had graduated from college in 2009 decided to go back to school during the pandemic to make a career shift to something I had always been passionate about, health. I chose to got to the Nutritional Therapy Association due to the fact that they were science based on bio individuality in the holistic field. In depth learning of the various body systems was eye opening. I started my certification process to become a yoga therapist with Loyola Marymount University in 2020 during the pandemic. This presented some unique challenges as you can imagine. Not only was the program being held completely virtual, but like most people at the time I was dealing with a lot of uncertainty and fear around the future. Many of the studios I had been teaching at either went online as well or completely stopped offering classes at the time. I was able to retain some private clients but things were very unstable.
