I always feel that referrals (from other industry colleagues that you trust) are the strongest way to create a strong initial foundation with potential representation — and thinking outside the box on referrals to new rep is helpful. I signed with my agent Peter K Agency back in May. I got in touch with this agency thanks to an actor that was on set with me during the filming of my very first feature. On a side note, it’s actually very funny how I got the part. I was in Burbank at a CVS pharmacy grabbing the last things I need prior to my trip to Italy (I’m Italian so I go back there every summer). An elderly man with a cowboy hat stopped me and asked if my any chance I was an actress. I usually don’t talk to strangers but he didn’t seem creepy at all so I decided to give it a shot. He started saying how I would be perfect for this role for a movie they were going to start filming in October in AZ. Read more>>

When you receive your first welcome email showcasing congratulations and welcome together is the most exciting thing in the world. The excitement of knowing that all your hard work has finally paid off, although the contract is tedious, and things seem confusing, but the words and understanding of it all and went over your head, you must ensure what your investing time into. Always be sure to read the contract or have a personal attorney go over these things with you because contracts be boring and hard to understand. I went to two agencies in both two years, which was supposed to be May 2024. Try to help me rise, and I feel that my goals, determination, and values didn’t match theirs, so I had to leave. My advice to anyone who is singing to an agency is to make sure what their values are and keep your head up because you’re going to get a lot of nos before you get a lot of yeses. Read more>>
