Zaria, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

As a small business owner two years in the making. I’ve found myself to be a woman that wears many hats! Social media being the biggest one. As of now, a manager isn’t in the budget, so it’s up to me to handle that.
I know that besides paid ads, social media is the only way to get my products viewed online. It’s a very tedious task and pretty hard to do alone. However, once I get my content planned out and scheduled, it becomes much easier.

Zaria, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I initially started my small jewelry brand as a source of additional income to supplement my 9-5. It also helped with my anxiety and kept me on my toes and busy. Quickly I grew to love it, and I still do to this day. The thing I’m most proud of is how I got out of my comfort zone and took risks! I’ve met amazing people along the way and made great connections.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Most of my jewelry is handmade. I use genuine pearls and gemstones. I’ve noticed as my style changed and what I liked I let quite a few supplies go unused. What I’ve also realized is that a lot of money goes into good quality products, testing and making sure your customers get the best.
I really care about my brand’s image, so I quality test everything before publishing it to my website.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think what’s helped me the most is being honest and outgoing. I’m not just looking to sell a product, but instead sell quality.
