We were lucky to catch up with Yusuf Bayraktar recently and have shared our conversation below.
Yusuf, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Most of us grew up in a way that our parents or the society used to tell us go to school, get a permanent job, pay taxes get married etc. But I never found this idea proper for myself. Life has more meanings for that. I’ve found myself that I needed to take risk for personel growth or for my business in order to grow and develop myself. ı did follow my instinct put my first business when I was 21.
Now I am 32 years old. I have failed 7 times in business. But the good thing is I never failed with the same mistake. now I run my own Real estate company, speak 2 languages, have traveled around the world, have a perfect network from all around the world. I am a happy person now thanks to all the failures in the past, all the challenges I had, all the risk I ‘ve taken and most importantly all the mindset that push me out of my comfort zone.

Yusuf, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I always love sales and I have been practicing and developing myself in sales position for a long time. On the other side I always love the real estate. I wanted to be in a position that involved in peoples life when they make one of the most important decision for their life when they are buying or selling their properties. I did not want just to be real estate agent, I wanted to be part of their family who they can trust and rely on. This is what drove to this business.
What I provide is that I give 360 perspective to my clients. I tell them the good and bad thing. Because in the and in this business I am not selling the houses, ı am actually selling myself. In order to be succeed is I have to be honest with them. This is my biggest play. ı also work so hard and now how to make the job done. I am well educated, and client orientaded. they can reach me in the middle of the night, they can ask me anything when they want. This is what apart me from others. I am one of the person in their family.
I know the wife’s name or kid’s name of my client. and beside that I do not make something for marketing or advertisement, my clients do it for me in everywhere they go. and I think this one of the best free and trustfull marketing
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Firstly, I do my homework to know my clients. I do not just a make normal business-client relation. I go beyond that. and then I do so much work in order to get the job done. My first piority is to make them happy, satisfied the work or the deal they’ve closed with me. but in the and I got them as my references. I got their networkes, I ask is there any people they know looking for a house or selling their houses. I make them to call them.
So as I said, I do not make a marketing for my business, my client does it for me!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My reputation is everything. I care about my reputation much more than money or the deals. What helped me along the way is I always been honest, trustfull and sharefull person with the clients and other real estate agents.
I helped other agents and my clients without getting anything in return.
