We were lucky to catch up with Wilneshia Ballou recently and have shared our conversation below.
Wilneshia, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
I’m definitely more of an educator. I enjoy it, teaching my clients and ever customers that reach out to me about how to address their skin concerns. And I’m grateful to be able to recommend any product from our brand that helps those concerns.
Wilneshia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Chi owner of Chi Beauty Skincare Brand. I’m a licensed esthetician in Miami, outside of offering facial services I have also curated a skincare brand called TRTMNT (Treatment) skincare. I focus on lightening and brightening as most of my clients skin concerns are focused on dark spots, hyperpigmentation, sun spots and acne scars.
How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
Although I’d love to be able to sale our products on the major online sites like Amazon etc.
We currently only sale our products directly on our website. Chibeautyskin.com
How did you build your audience on social media?
Omg! Content! That’s is literally your bestfriend. I became more active on TikTok and Instagram. I went from behind the steamer to in front of the camera. And it’s really the best decision ever.
