We caught up with the brilliant and insightful William Sena a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi William , thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The biggest risk of my career is yet to come. In April, of 2025 I plan to leave my job and move to LA to pursue my music career. Just being honest, this scares the life out of me, and that’s exactly why I have to do it. Life’s biggest blessings come outside of comfort. I’ve always felt that I perform best under pressure, and I plan to do just that. From a kid that started playing piano in church, to the artist I have become. I am immensely proud of my accomplishments, big or small. I am very optimistic for what the future holds. If you’re seeing me for the first time, come join me on this journey, we’re just getting started and you won’t want to miss it.

William , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Back in 2019, I stepped foot in what was known as “the bakery”. A recording studio in Raleigh, NC. Little did I know, this would become my life. I fell in love with music. Plain and simple. I’m most proud of the way that I have stayed true to my art in an ever changing industry. My goal is not to make a hit song or blow up overnight. But when people look back at my career, I want them to say that I’ve always been ME.
I take a lot of inspiration from artists like Eli Sostre, zzz, Johnny Yukon, and always never. But the thing that sets me apart is simply my god given talent. When you know you know.
If you take anything from this article, know that I take pride in my art. Know that I will always give my best. And know that I am eternally grateful for everyone that joins me on this ride.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I’ll be very honest here. There was a point about 3 years into my career where I was not getting the results I wanted. I’d felt like no one was there and I was on this journey alone. On the verge of giving up, I had a girl from Germany reach out to me and say, “you are my favorite artist, don’t ever stop”. So the most rewarding thing for me is to pour my heart into my craft, and for it to be received.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to be a touring artist and to inspire people to be their true selves. I’m on a mission to achieve greatness.
