Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Whitney Marie. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Whitney, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I didn’t have a big, dramatic “this is it” moment at first. It was more subtle. I just kept noticing that whenever I was around music, culture, and creative spaces, something clicked for me. I wasn’t just enjoying it. I was paying attention to the stories, the energy in the room, and how moments were being created and remembered. I naturally found myself documenting, observing, and wanting to capture what made those spaces feel special. I really noticed it when I went to Vegas one year and met someone who I deeply admire. She was/and still is so kind to me and that was the moment I knew, this is what I want to do.
Whitney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a creative strategist and media professional working at the intersection of music, culture, and digital storytelling. I got into this space by simply following what felt natural to me, being in rooms where music was happening, paying attention to how moments were created, and wanting to capture and amplify the energy behind them. What started as documenting shows, conversations, and experiences grew into a deeper understanding of how culture moves online and how artists, brands, and platforms can connect more intentionally with their audiences.
Through my work, I provide creative direction, content strategy, media coverage, and artist focused storytelling. That can look like helping artists and brands clarify their narrative, identify what resonates culturally, and translate that into content that feels authentic rather than forced.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just study culture from a distance. I’m actively in it. I attend the shows, talk to the artists, observe the shifts, and understand the nuances that can’t always be pulled from a trend report. I’m most proud of building a body of work rooted in trust, taste, and consistency, and of creating platforms that spotlight talent in a way that feels human and respectful. The main thing I want people to know is that my work is intentional. I care deeply about storytelling, longevity, and helping creatives and brands show up in ways that feel aligned, impactful, and true to who they are.
