We were lucky to catch up with Wendy Hutchinson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Wendy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
For decades, I was the perfectionist, the person who put everyone’s needs before my own, and a people pleaser. I was programmed to chase worthiness through service and achievement by my Asian culture. Everything was meticulously curated from the perfectly wrapped Christmas gifts under the tree to the Martha Stewart turkey coming out of the oven. My husband had a successful career, our sons were playing sports, involved in music, and ready to launch off to college. I checked all the boxes and made it look easy, but one day, standing alone in my dining room, I heard a booming female voice, “Save yourself,” she said. The intensity of that statement reverberated down through every fiber of my being. It was a command, not a request.
I stopped dead in my tracks and looked around, “Who said that?” I knew, deep down, that message was from my Soul. I was not religious or spiritual. There was no explanation for what I experienced that day. I was burying my unworthiness, focused on survival, and keeping the illusion alive that everything was fine. A lifetime of neglecting and not loving myself had caught up to me. This immediate knowing deep in the well of my soul dropped in. It was time to retrieve the pieces of myself I scattered to the wind, or the consequence would be a long and painful death.
As an intuitive empath, my codependent nature wanted to fix everyone and take on their emotional pain and suffering. It turns out, I was the one who needed fixing and healing. The truth was humbling. Trauma, it seems, soaks deeply into the fibers of our being and energetically impacts the trajectory of our lives. The journey back to myself required firm boundaries. What felt like a loss of relationships with people who benefited from the unhealed version of me made space for the people who supported and loved me for who I am. Saying no delivered me to the door of my power and purpose.
I’ve embarked on a mission to help people remember who they are and why they are here. That defining moment in my dining room forced me to get off the hamster wheel, confront my emotional wounds, and heal. I now have the honor of supporting others on their journey back to their soul sovereignty and power.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I am a Quantum Soul Healer and Spiritual Guide, which is a blend of Life Coach, Energy Healer, and Spiritual Wisdom Keeper. I help people return to their authentic selves through energetically healing emotional trauma back to the inception point. This energetic alchemy turns pain into power. My mission is to bring the mind, body, and soul into alignment for clients. Together, we remove everything that prevents them from reaching their highest calling. I free clients from the binds holding them back in life.
I believe there’s a divine blueprint for all of us, and when it’s time, our life purpose finds us. After becoming a certified life coach, I was introduced to several energy healing modalities. It awakened a deep soul remembering of who I am and have always been. The work was an organic progression of trusting the process and following my intuition.
Someone once said to me, “You don’t know you’re chained until you move.” I found this to be true as I began to break the chains that bound me. We water ourselves down and settle for acceptance and approval while living in the illusion of freedom; true freedom and sovereignty are living as the fullest expression of yourself and creating a beautiful life by your own design. Our work together clears energetic blocks, offers a higher perspective, and creates a sacred space where you are seen, guided, and supported throughout the process of finding your path and purpose. I offer two kinds of sessions.
The Quantum Soul Healing sessions offer deep soul trauma clearings. Many clients who choose this session feel blocked or disconnected, like something is keeping them from reaching higher and becoming who they are meant to be. This is a very intense 2.5 – 3-hour energy session where we address trauma in the body, mind, and soul. We work together energetically to heal the emotional wounds. Every client says at the end of the session, “I feel free!”
The other session I offer is a Soul Guidance session, where I clear and pull density from the energy field, discuss life events, and sometimes do energy work to address issues, if time allows. This is a one-hour session. Profound revelations come to those who work with me during these sessions.
My goal is to bring energetic synergy to my clients. Together, we identify patterns and triggers that hold them hostage, then clear them and set them free. My ideal client feels a bit lost, knowing there’s something more they’re meant to be or do, but not sure what that looks like or how to get there. In my sessions, we focus on energy and frequency. I use the hot air balloon analogy. Each trauma or struggle represents a sandbag holding you down; cutting and releasing the density helps you rise. You decide what path feels right, and I help you get there. How far are you willing to go? Where is fear holding you back? These are the things we explore together.
I was inspired to write the book Finding the Path of Me Awakening to Remembering Who I Am and Why I Am Here. It offers reflective journal prompts at the end of each chapter to help you relate to your own story. If you have ever been diminished by your family, not accepted, shamed, or expected to be something or someone you are not to make someone else happy, this is the book for you!
The Soul Power Oracle Deck was designed as a daily tool to inspire you with daily soul messages. It is available on the Deckible App, and as a physical deck on my website. The 33 gorgeous lion images and corresponding messages inspire you to follow your soul path. The app has a deck shuffle option, meditation timer, journal entry reflection page, and various combinations of card spreads. The positive response to the card deck has been incredible!
My podcast, The Path of Me, was inspired by a desire to showcase people from all walks of life who followed their own unique path while lighting the way for others. It takes courage to be who we are meant to be. If not now, when?

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I used to believe that love had to be earned through personal sacrifice. I spent a lifetime filtering myself down to be what other people expected me to be, and I tempered my spirit for approval. I was programmed to be “the good girl.” That was modeled for me by my mother and grandmothers. You endured, remained quiet, and did what was expected of you. I lived true to this belief for 40 years. When I unpacked my emotional trauma, my perspective changed. This pivot obliterated the program to keep the peace. I stopped chasing worthiness and love, and I stepped into my power. The backlash was swift and brutal. Everyone was outraged when I stopped meeting their expectations. I allowed them to feel their emotions and met them with silence. Releasing the unhealthy codependent dynamics radically changed the rules of engagement. My mental and emotional health demanded it.
I’m here to light the way for others; to lead means standing in my integrity and never sacrificing or diminishing myself. My work is a calling, not a hustle. Not one person in my family saw me, supported my work, or celebrated the wins. For the first time, I understood that I walk alone. This uncomfortable truth lit a fire inside me, and I surrounded myself with healthy people and relationships. I stopped taking on anything that was not mine to hold emotionally, and I created strong boundaries around toxic engagement. Many people fell away, and I let them.
Once I loved myself, my integrity demanded alignment, rather than compliance. My marriage didn’t survive, but I learned so much about myself through the loss. The grief was overwhelming at times as my family dynamics changed, but I could not betray myself and go back into the box. I chose to thrive and grow into myself. Society called it selfish; I called it liberating. Every experience was a lesson for me about the power of living from the heart. Alignment with my values gifted me a life as the fullest expression of myself. Some people came as teachers, others as guides; all were triggers for my growth. I celebrate how far I’ve come; I’ll never look back. Love and worthiness, it turns out, are inherent, not earned.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve been showing up consistently and with integrity in service to others for a very long time. The results of my work speak for themselves. I’m not hustling or chasing anything. I’m in my lane, intuitively supporting the healing journey of those who resonate with the work that I do. I focus on presence and the unique needs of each person seeking clarity and healing. After years of working with energy and understanding the complexity of the mind, body, and soul, I have a gift for bringing people into energetic alignment. Often, clients from years past reach out to share what an impact I had on their lives. Word of mouth and referrals are powerful. I am well respected in my field.
My book, podcast, and daily motivational posts on social media also help and inspire people. I was recently in Whole Foods shopping, and a woman I don’t know reached out by text. She stumbled upon my book, and somehow it had my business card in it. She had been reading it for three hours, underlining and writing notes in the margins, and messaged to tell me how much she appreciated the time I took to write the book, and how much it resonated with her. Sometimes, when I put content out into the world from an authentic and vulnerable place, it’s relatable, and it helps people in big and small ways. This happens to me quite often. I’ve also connected with people on social media who have followed me for years, who have sent messages saying how much my content has supported their journey. These encounters are humbling and tell me that my work matters. It’s what inspires me to keep going and consistently builds my reputation.
