We were lucky to catch up with Viveca Ljung recently and have shared our conversation below.
Viveca , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Being successful takes time and a lot of passion and does not happen overnight. One thing I learned during my 40 years as a artist is to develop a positive mindset with trusting yourself and your ability to succeed, because during challenging times this will be the only thing that you can really lean on, and that makes you keep on going.
Passion and motivation is a major factor, if your heart is in it your genuine drive will always be endless.
Creativity and thinking outside the box combined with hard work, dedication and always stay curious, keep learning, improve your skills and you will grow.

Viveca , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
At the age of eight, my mom took me to Africa working as a volunteer for the Red Cross and gave me my first Nikon F4 and my passion and drive was planted,
By the time I was 21 I was hired as a freelance travel photojournalist for one of Sweden’s major newspapers where I during several years I traveling to 50 plus countries around the world and photograph some of the most unique and beautiful places on earth.
What made me be able to stay in the competitive art business during a lifetime I believe all comes to my passion and the love I have for my craft, I never had any doubts what I wanted to do, it was all so clear from a young age, I fell in love and there was no turning back.
I also believe this all appears visible in my work and therefore my clients keep on coming back.
A proud highlight of my career was my Art exhibit “True Faces of the World” during Art Basel 2017,
A art exhibition focusing on embracing diversity with portraits of 200 children representing the world, All with ethnic, religion’s and cultural differences.
I love capturing features of a face, and I find every face beautiful in its own way.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
To always deliver outstanding work, to always be there for my clients regardless, to give everything you have to every single one, to be attentive, genuine and professional.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I usually say there are three highs of my work, the actual shoot and the moments of love and joy that comes with it, Next is the first moment of going through the images in post production and the final highs hearing the delight and joy from the client seeing the final work.
