Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vince C. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Vince , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I have been around music pretty much my whole life. One of the first pictures my family took of me was in the kitchen of a restaurant where my parents used to work. I was maybe around three or four years old. While my parents were busy working, I would grab a couple of pots and pans and use them as a makeshift drum set. From that moment on, my passion for music never really left me.
In 2016, I discovered FL Studio, and everything suddenly fell into place. I instantly fell in love with the feeling of creating music and listening back to my beats. It was a mix of pure joy, excitement, and pride—like being on top of the world. It felt almost like a drug. It’s hard to describe, but if you’ve experienced it, you know exactly what I mean.

Vince , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Two years into my production career, around 2017, I landed my first placements with a couple of up-and-coming artists, including SC.Undercover and Jay Rick$.
At the same time, my little brother, who goes by the name Tony Castellano, started singing on the beats I produced. That was one of the best experiences because we spent every single day working on new songs together. During that period, I truly learned every other facet of being a producer. Making beats is fun, no doubt about it, but being a producer is so much more than “just” making beats. It’s about having a vision. It’s about creating a sonic landscape with the artist—one that allows listeners to immerse themselves in a whole new world.
Looking back, that was definitely one of the most exciting and rewarding times because we pushed each other to the next level every single day. That was also the moment we had our first real success in the music industry. Listeners from all over the world started reaching out, telling us that the songs we created touched them on a deeper level. One of the fan favorites during that period was a song called Mami [by Tony Castellano].
One of the most surreal moments for me was hearing my neighbor playing Mami while I was already working on the next song. That, along with all the people reaching out, really made all those long nights in the studio worth it. I think even numbers wise the song is pretty successful. If I remember correctly, it generated around 10 million streams across various streaming platforms. Of course, that’s nowhere near the level of top artists like Drake, The Weeknd, or Taylor Swift, but to be honest, I care more about making people feel something and receiving that direct feedback than just seeing a number that defines my song’s success.
Around 2020, I also started working on my own records because my brother had a different vision he wanted to pursue.
All these experiences working with different artists have really come together over the last few years and paved the way for what’s next.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I know it sounds kind of cliché, but at the end of the day, it’s all about passion. If you’re in it for anything else, you’ve already lost. Every person I’ve met in the industry wakes up almost euphoric every morning, excited to create new music.
To be honest, you could even call it selfish in a way. We simply love making new songs and want to listen to the music we create for ourselves. The few of us who make it are just lucky enough to touch people’s hearts with our music—lucky that listeners can relate to the struggles and emotions we express sonically.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The beautiful thing about the music industry is that you can’t really make mistakes. It’s all about trying new things and seeing how they make you feel.
A great example of that is my next record, which will be released on February 14, 2025. The initial idea for the record actually started with a Christmas song I made in the winter of 2023. What makes this record special is that it wasn’t necessarily the kind of song you’d expect—it was a unique blend of reggaeton and a Christmas track.
However, through that record, I discovered the essence of Gioventù—the Italian word for youth. And just to give you a little hint: this song embodies la dolce vita at its finest.
That’s the crazy thing about music—or any creative industry, really. You never know where the road will take you.
