We recently connected with Verô Souza and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Verô thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Choosing the most meaningful project is quite a task because every branding assignment is a special journey with its own nuances and value. However, if I have to spotlight one, it would be my work with ‘Slow Stories’, a podcast and platform that explores the importance of slowing down in our fast-paced, digital world.
The Slow Stories project was about more than creating a visually appealing brand; it was about encapsulating the brand’s warm, sophisticated, and encouraging personality, with the objective of promoting mindfulness and intentional living. These are attributes that I not only align with personally but also aim to infuse in every brand I work with.
Being a podcast and platform that delve into the subtleties of a slowed-down, conscious lifestyle, Slow Stories required a brand identity that resonated with their audience on a profound level. It was not just about aesthetics but also about communicating their philosophy and vision.
The process of building the Slow Stories brand was incredibly rewarding for me. I appreciated Rachel Schwartzmann’s, the founder, recognition of my approach to design, which prioritizes wellness and intentionality. This mutual understanding was key in our journey to create a brand that not only looks good but also feels good and aligns with their mission.
In essence, the Slow Stories project was a beautiful intersection of shared philosophies, strategic thinking, creativity, and personal growth. It’s a testament to the power of intentional branding to communicate deeply-held values and philosophies, create an emotional connection with the audience, and contribute to a larger conversation about conscious living.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Verô, the creative mind behind Verô Branding. My love for design and branding was not an immediate revelation, but a path I discovered through my passions for visual arts, wellness, and human connection.
I started my career in the fast-paced tech and advertising world, where I honed my skills in design and understood the power of visual communication. However, over time, I found myself seeking a deeper connection with the projects I worked on and the people I served. I longed for the opportunity to create meaningful designs that resonated on a more personal level.
This longing led me to start my own branding business. Verô Branding is where my skills and passions converge, allowing me to work intimately with businesses to understand their core values and express them visually.
At the studio, I provide a variety of branding services. Starting from a place of understanding – uncovering the essence of a brand and the people behind it. From there, we create authentic and compelling visual identities that resonate with the audience, from logo design and color palettes to web design and marketing assets.
One of the problems I solve for my clients is the disconnect they often feel between their business’s essence and how it’s visually represented. I help them clarify their vision and bring it to life in a way that’s both authentic and compelling. This clear, strong branding helps businesses attract the right audience, build trust, and ultimately, grow their impact.
I’m all about the commitment to a holistic approach to branding. I look beyond the aesthetics and dig deep into the brand’s values, vision, and audience. The designs are not just pretty; they are meaningful, strategic, and effective.
One thing I’m most proud of is the transformation our clients go through. It’s not just about a new logo or website; it’s about witnessing their confidence and clarity as they embrace their new visual identity that truly reflects who they are.
What I want potential clients and followers to know about Verô Branding is that it’s more than a branding agency. I’m your partner in this journey. I care about your story, your vision, and your success. My work is rooted in connection, empathy, and intentionality. I’m here to help you shine your light in the world, authentically and boldly.
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about myself and the work I do!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
There is a particular mission driving my creative journey, and it’s to foster authenticity and intentionality in the world of branding. I believe in the power of design as a vehicle for connection and communication, and I want to help small businesses leverage that power in a way that’s true to their values and vision.
A core part of this mission is celebrating the unique essence and personality of each business owner. Every entrepreneur has their own distinct strengths, vision, and personal power – and I see it as my job to spotlight these unique elements and bring them to the forefront of their brand. This is not only critical for setting their business apart online but also for instilling a sense of confidence and pride in the entrepreneurs themselves.
To me, branding is so much more than just creating visually pleasing aesthetics. It’s about telling a story, making an impact, and connecting with people on a deeper level. That’s why I strive to create designs that not only look good but also feel good, resonate with the audience, and truly represent the essence of the brand. This is what I believe leads to a genuinely authentic and powerful brand, and it’s what I strive for in every project I work on.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the most profound lessons I had to unlearn was the notion that working longer hours equates to being more successful. This is a lesson that’s often ingrained in us from a young age and it’s particularly prominent in the fast-paced environments of the tech and advertising industries, where I began my career. There, I saw firsthand how this ‘hustle culture’ can lead to burnout and, ironically, stifle creativity.
While it was certainly a space where I learned invaluable skills and developed as a professional, I also started to realize that there must be a different way to approach work. A way that values balance, wellness, and creativity over ceaseless striving. I had to unlearn the idea that worth is tied to productivity, and instead embrace a more holistic understanding of success.
This was a key factor in my decision to start my own business. It allowed me to redefine what work could look like, incorporating my passion for wellness and design.
In my own practice and with my clients, I’ve seen the power of intentional, mindful work. When we create space for balance and wellbeing, we are not just more fulfilled, but also more creative and productive. Unlearning that ‘hustle mentality’ wasn’t easy, but it’s made all the difference in my journey as a creative entrepreneur.
