Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Veda Leclerc. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Veda, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was stepping into entrepreneurship and starting my own health and wellness business after my personal experience navigating the healthcare system.
For years, I struggled with a variety of hormone-related symptoms—severe PMS, bloating, skin issues, low energy, and feeling generally disconnected from my body. Like many women, I went to doctors looking for answers, hoping someone could help me understand what was going on. Instead, I often left appointments feeling dismissed or told that my symptoms were “normal,” or that the solution was simply going on birth control.
After a while, I realized I wasn’t getting closer to real answers. That frustration led me down a path of researching nutrition, hormones, gut health, and functional approaches to healing. As I started implementing root-cause strategies, I began to experience real changes in my own health. It was the first time I felt like I understood my body rather than fighting against it.
Through that journey, I started realizing how many other women were going through the same thing—feeling unheard, stuck with symptoms, and unsure where to turn. I felt a growing pull to help women find the kind of answers I had spent years searching for.
The risk came when I decided to turn that passion into a business. I didn’t have a traditional entrepreneurial background, and building something from scratch meant stepping into a lot of uncertainty. There were moments where I questioned whether I was qualified enough or whether it would actually work.
But I felt strongly that this work mattered. I wanted to create a space where women felt listened to and supported, and where their symptoms were viewed as signals rather than something to ignore.
Since starting my business, I’ve had the opportunity to work with women who felt just as lost as I once did. Seeing them gain clarity about their health, reduce their symptoms, and feel more confident in their bodies has been incredibly rewarding. Taking that risk pushed me to trust God more, grow personally, and step into a calling that I believe I was meant to pursue

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Veda, and I’m a functional health practitioner and the founder of Wellness by Veda. I specialize in helping women uncover the root causes behind hormone and gut issues so they can finally feel at home in their bodies again.
My journey into this work started with my own health struggles. For years, I dealt with symptoms like severe PMS, bloating, painful periods, skin issues, and fatigue. Like many women, I went from doctor to doctor searching for answers, but often left feeling dismissed or told that my symptoms were simply “normal.” The solutions I was offered focused mostly on masking symptoms rather than understanding why they were happening.
That experience led me down a deep rabbit hole of learning about nutrition, gut health, hormone balance, and root-cause healing. As I began applying these principles to my own life, I started to see real improvements. I felt more energized, my symptoms began to improve, and for the first time I felt like I understood how my body worked rather than constantly fighting against it.
That transformation ignited a passion in me to help other women who were feeling just as frustrated and unheard as I once did. I eventually started my business so I could provide the kind of support and guidance I wish I had during my own healing journey.
Today, I work primarily with women who struggle with hormone imbalances, PMS symptoms, gut issues, skin concerns, fatigue, and other chronic symptoms that often get overlooked or normalized. Through my work, I use a root-cause approach that combines functional lab testing, nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and mineral balancing to help women understand what is actually going on inside their bodies.
One thing that sets my work apart is the level of personalization and education I provide. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all protocol, I incorporate functional testing to create tailored plans based on each client’s unique physiology. I also spend a lot of time helping my clients understand the “why” behind what we’re doing so they can feel empowered in their health rather than dependent on quick fixes.
Another core piece of my work is helping women reconnect with their natural rhythms. I teach concepts like cycle syncing, nervous system regulation, and sustainable lifestyle habits that support hormone health. Many of the women I work with have spent years feeling disconnected from their bodies, and part of the healing process is learning to trust and work with their body instead of against it.
What I’m most proud of is creating a space where women feel truly heard. Many of my clients come to me after years of being told their symptoms are normal or that nothing is wrong. Seeing them gain clarity, reduce symptoms, and rebuild confidence in their health is incredibly meaningful to me.
At the heart of my brand is the belief that women deserve real answers about their health and that healing should address the root cause rather than just managing symptoms. My goal is not only to help women feel better physically, but to help them regain a sense of vitality, confidence, and connection to their bodies.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Beyond training and technical knowledge, the most important thing that has helped me in my field is staying grounded in my faith and learning to abide in God.
In entrepreneurship and in health work, there are endless strategies, opinions, and pressures about what you “should” be doing. It can be easy to rely solely on your own effort, intelligence, or planning. But over time, I’ve realized that real wisdom, creativity, and discernment ultimately come from God.
Abiding in Him keeps me aligned with my purpose and reminds me that I’m not meant to carry everything on my own. When I slow down and seek His guidance through prayer, reflection, and time in His presence, I often gain clarity that I wouldn’t have arrived at through strategy alone.
In a field like health and wellness—where every person’s situation is unique—this posture of humility and dependence is especially important. While education and training provide valuable tools, there are moments when intuition, compassion, and discernment are just as critical in supporting someone’s healing journey. For me, staying connected to God helps me approach my work with both wisdom and compassion.
It also shifts my perspective on success. Instead of measuring success purely by outcomes or growth, I try to focus on being faithful with the work I’ve been entrusted with and serving people with integrity.
Ultimately, I believe that when we stay connected to the source of all wisdom, creativity, and understanding, we are able to show up more fully in the work we’re called to do.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining seasons of resilience in my life came during a period when my health and mental well-being were both at very low points.
There was a time when I was experiencing intense anxiety, daily panic attacks, and deep depression. On top of that, I was dealing with a number of physical symptoms—hormonal imbalances, severe PMS, digestive issues, fatigue, and skin problems. It felt like my body and mind were both working against me, and there were many days where simply getting through the day felt overwhelming.
What made it even harder was not having clear answers. I sought help and tried different approaches, but often felt dismissed or told that what I was experiencing was normal or something I just had to manage. That uncertainty can be incredibly discouraging, especially when you’re already struggling mentally and physically.
During that time, resilience didn’t look like huge breakthroughs or dramatic changes. It looked more like choosing to keep going when things felt heavy. It looked like continuing to search for answers, continuing to learn about my body, and continuing to believe that healing was possible even when I couldn’t see the full path yet.
My faith became a major anchor during that season. There were moments where the mental battle was intense, and learning to lean on God, pray, and trust Him in the uncertainty became an important part of my healing process. It helped shift my focus from feeling completely alone in the struggle to remembering that I wasn’t meant to carry everything by myself.
Over time, small shifts began to add up. As I started addressing root causes through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and deeper healing work, both my physical symptoms and my mental health began to improve. The process wasn’t quick or linear, but it taught me patience, perseverance, and a deeper compassion for others who are struggling.
Looking back, that season shaped both who I am as a person and the work I do today. Because I’ve walked through those mental and physical battles myself, I understand how discouraging it can feel when your body isn’t cooperating and answers seem hard to find.
That experience is a big part of why I do the work I do today. It reminds me that resilience isn’t always loud or dramatic—it’s often the quiet decision to keep moving forward, even when the path is uncertain.
