We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Va’rai Unique. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Va’rai below.
Alright, Va’rai thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I’ve taken quite a few risks in my life, as I love the exhilaration and mental growth that risk creates in our lives. I think one of the most significant risks that I have ever taken was relocating to the United States. What made me move from London in the UK to the USA? Well growing up we travelled abroad every year, and my most favorite place to visit out of all the numerous places we travelled to was always America. I just fell in love and knew for sure that from the age of about 7/8 years old my heart just belonged here.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
So a little bit about me, I’m a lifestyle specialist who helps people and businesses live their best lives, mentally, physically and financially. I elevate brands (whether personal or business brands), by envisioning the future them via cutting-edge information. I utilize my extensive experience, vast connections with a sprinkle of my vivacious, buoyant creativity & courage so you’ll be propelled into new heights! I live by the quote;
“Intellectuals solve problems, Geniuses prevent them.” Spoken by Albert Einstein
I run a consultation business, a PR agency and I also have two lifestyle brands (streetwear & accessories). I’m great at what I do, and the passion I have is unrivaled. I love to help others live their best life as my passion is to help others win!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most productive plan of action I have taken to increase my clientele is to solely focus on my current customers. By doing this I will get the best results for them & they will do my marketing for me with word of mouth. You cannot beat word of mouth in my opinion as it spreads like wildfire!

Any advice for managing a team?
From my experience running teams, from small to large, it is imperative to remember that ‘what’s at the top of any organization will always trickle down’. What does that mean? Well basically the leader of the pack is the example, so not only must the we know every aspect of the job positions that are held, we must act as the example of how we want our team to be. From experience I can safely say your staff will surely follow. Another suggestion I would have is to constantly be positive, be mindful of how we’re behaving under pressure while always striving to become better. Giving the team incentives is definitely something that boosts the morale too. It also doesn’t harm to ask everyone what would help them boost their spirits, as everyone has different needs and/or expectations. Obviously you can’t cater to everyone’s needs but you can get a better idea of what could work more effectively. I know this will help someone within their business.
