We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Troy Briscoe a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Troy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Kingdom Strength Institute developed over time through a tension I kept noticing in both my professional training and personal life.
As I pursued education and clinical work in strength and human performance, I became deeply invested in helping people build real physical capacity. At the same time, my faith was becoming more central to how I approached life. What stood out to me was a disconnect. The fitness industry often emphasizes discipline and performance, but can be self-centered in its focus. Meanwhile, many faith communities prioritize spiritual growth, yet physical stewardship is often overlooked or approached without structure.
There wasn’t a clear bridge between the two.
That realization led me to ask: what would it look like to pursue strength in a way that is fully aligned with a Christ-centered life? Not just adding faith language to fitness, but integrating evidence-based training with purpose: stewardship, discipline, and service.
From a business standpoint, I saw a clear gap. There are many fitness programs and many faith-based resources, but very few that take both seriously at a high level. Kingdom Strength Institute was built to fill that gap without compromising either side.
What made this idea compelling was the opportunity to bring alignment to an area of life that often feels fragmented. To help people see that training their body can support how they live, lead, and serve.
At its core, Kingdom Strength Institute exists to help individuals pursue fitness with intention and efficacy while developing their spiritual life if they choose to do so.

Troy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic with a background in strength and human performance, and my work has always centered around helping people move better, build resilience, and improve functional capacity. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Strength and Human Performance from Parker University following a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M University. My training has allowed me to operate at the intersection of rehabilitation, performance, and long-term health.
I was drawn into this field through a genuine interest in how the body adapts to stress, both in a clinical setting and in performance environments. Over time, that interest expanded beyond just the physical. As my faith became more central in my life, I began to think more deeply about how physical training fits into a broader purpose. That perspective ultimately led to the creation of Kingdom Strength Institute.
Through Kingdom Strength Institute, I provide individualized coaching, structured training programs, and educational content designed to help people build strength in a sustainable, intentional way. This includes one-on-one coaching, digital training programs, and ongoing resources that guide individuals through not just what to do, but why they’re doing it. The approach is grounded in evidence-based principles such as progressive overload, appropriate load management, and individualized program design.
The primary problem I aim to solve is the lack of clarity and direction that many people experience in their training. Many individuals either follow random programs without structure or pursue fitness goals that aren’t aligned with how they want to live. My role is to provide both structure and perspective, helping clients train effectively while also understanding how their physical development supports their broader life.
What sets this work apart is the integration. There are many high-quality fitness programs, and there are many faith-based platforms, but very few that hold both to a high standard simultaneously. Kingdom Strength Institute is built on the idea that physical training can and should be approached with the same level of intentionality, discipline, and purpose that we apply to other areas of life.
What I’m most proud of is building something that is both principled and practical. It’s not just about messaging, it’s about delivering real results through sound training while maintaining a clear identity and mission. I want people to know that when they engage with this brand, they are getting thoughtful, structured, and evidence-based coaching that is designed to last and crafted just for them.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The most consistent and valuable source of new clients has been word of mouth.
Many of the individuals I work with come through referrals from current or former clients who have had a positive experience and meaningful results. That’s something I place a high value on, because it reflects more than just satisfaction, it reflects trust. When someone is willing to recommend you to a friend, family member, or colleague, it speaks to the quality of both the coaching and the relationship.
From a business standpoint, I’ve intentionally focused on delivering a high level of individualized care and communication. When clients feel supported, understand their program, and see progress over time, they’re naturally more likely to share that experience with others.
I’ve found that this approach creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth. Rather than relying heavily on short-term marketing tactics, the emphasis is on consistency, results, and building relationships that last. Over time, that compounds into a network of people who not only continue working with the brand, but actively advocate for it.
Ultimately, word of mouth has been effective because it’s rooted in real outcomes and genuine experiences, which is exactly what I want the business to be known for.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media has been less about quick growth tactics and more about consistency over time.
From the beginning, my focus has been on sharing high-value, educational content that actually helps people. That includes breaking down training concepts, explaining the reasoning behind programming decisions, and providing practical insights that individuals can apply immediately. Rather than trying to chase trends, I’ve aimed to create content that reflects how I think and how I coach.
Over time, that consistency builds trust. People begin to recognize that the information is thoughtful, applicable, and grounded in real experience. That trust is what ultimately leads to engagement, conversations, and eventually clients.
I’ve also tried to stay aligned with the broader mission of the brand. The content isn’t just about exercises or workouts, it’s about helping people think differently about training, discipline, and how physical development fits into their life as a whole.
For those just starting to build a social media presence, my main advice would be to focus on clarity and consistency. Be clear on who you’re trying to help and what problems you’re solving, then show up regularly with content that reflects that. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it does need to be useful.
It’s also important to be patient. Growth on social media often comes from repeated exposure and continued value over time, not from a single post. If you stay consistent and prioritize helping people, the audience will build in a way that is both meaningful and sustainable.
