Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tristan Gutner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tristan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To be successful you have to be willing to be wrong, and have the courage to grow and change. Success requires you to do things you’ve never done, be a version of yourself you’ve never been, and to take huge leaps of faith.
More than any expertise or skillset, being successful requires a powerful mindset. I’ve seen many clients double, triple, or quadruple their income in months without ever changing their business or marketing strategies.
What each of these people did was find whatever needed to change in their thinking and their perspective, and made those changes quickly.
Our results always reflect our mindset. To change the results, we have to change our mindset.

Tristan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a life coach and I typically work with entrepreneurs, business owners, and entertainers who want to improve their results in life and business quickly and dramatically . My clients come to me because they have a vision of something greater for themselves, and they want help getting there quickly, easily, and elegantly.
My clients tend to get amazing results very quickly because we work on the real cause of their circumstances, rather than the symptoms. The symptoms are their results, the cause is their belief system and their mindset.
For instance, if someone wants to increase their income quickly, instead of immediately looking at what needs to change in their business structure, we look at what needs to change in their beliefs about themselves and the world around them that have created their current results.
When someone is willing to do this type of inner work, their results change quickly, dramatically, and automatically.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I love sharing this story because it shows you just how quickly things can change if you’re willing to change. For a few years I ran my coaching business as a side hustle. I loved doing it, but I didn’t trust that I could support my family with it. I was so frustrated because no matter what I did I couldn’t grow my coaching business enough to close my other business (which i did not love) and focus solely on coaching.
Eventually I got so frustrated that one day I closed my other business cold turkey, and went all-in on coaching. Something in me knew I’d never really be successful with coaching if I had the safety net of this other business.
I closed the other business, invested in coaching for myself, and decided to do whatever it would take to succeed.
From that moment on things changed really quickly. My coaching business went from $0 to over $100K in 8 or 9 months, and I never looked back.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Authenticity. I know this isn’t the savvy growth strategy people may be looking for, and it’s the truth.
There are a million ways to grow your clientele. There are probably also a million other people doing what you do. So what really sets you apart is YOU.
There’s only one of YOU. And you have something that no one else in the market can provide. The people who need your help need you specifically.
So be you. That’s what you’re really paid for … to provide the unique gifts through your service or product that only you can provide.
