We were lucky to catch up with Tony Murrietta recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tony, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope the legacy I leave behind is someone who was there to capture and create moments with people from around the world. Someone who appreciated little the things in life and was kind to others.
Tony, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in a small town where I had gotten involved in different mediums of art towards the end of my senior year in high school. Going into college I had bought my first camera where I had booked small projects while going to school full time. After taking on a couple projects, I have made it a personal goal to travel around the world to work with other artist, creators and talented people and share and create my projects to the rest of the world.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I would say what drives me in my creative journey is being able to explore different places and be able to collaborate with different artist from around the world makes doing what I love all the most fun and makes it worth while.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The way in which I was able to build the community of people I am able to work with online is mostly by directly messaging people who would be interested in working together on potential projects. This way I am able to expand my following with people who I have the potential of working with simply by directly messaging them and keeping in contact with them for the time being. If anyone is looking to expand their audience I would recommend that person start messaging people whom which they would like to work with, and by working with them it opens up doors for more potential collaborators they are able to connect with from there.
