Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Timo Dietz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Timo, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. We’re excited and so we love asking our interviewees to share the most heartwarming moment from their career. Do you have a touching experience you can share with us?
Life’s a game you cannot win. Sounds like the most depressing motivational quote ever, right? But wait – here’s the plot twist that makes me jump out of bed with a grin every morning. Because let’s be honest: Who doesn’t know this nerve-wracking hamster wheel of “faster, higher, further,” this constant inner drive whispering “just one more certification,” “just one more promotion,” and THEN you’ll finally “arrive”?
Spoiler Alert: You’re already there. You’ve just forgotten.
And that’s exactly my mission: helping people remember. Sounds simple? It is. But sometimes the simplest things are the most powerful – like a déjà vu that suddenly opens up a whole new perspective.
My own journey in this direction began when I started diving deep into the power of sound and frequencies over six years ago. As the founder of ZenSonic, I initially brought this technology to the medical industry in the USA – yes, I was basically the DJ for better health. But something was missing. It felt like I was only touching the surface of a much deeper ocean.
But sometimes it takes these crazy ideas, these “what-if” moments, to remind us what we’re really made of. You know those conversations with your best friend where an “actually impossible” suddenly turns into a “let’s try it”? I had exactly such a moment six years ago.
There we were, my best friend and I, both tennis players for 20 years – you know, good enough for club sports, but too late for the big career. And then came this crazy thought: “Hey, what if we could hear the national anthem played for us one more time? For our own athletic achievement?”
I can hear some of you chuckling. Understandable. It’s kind of like deciding to become an astronaut in your mid-thirties. But you know what? Sometimes it’s exactly these “impossible” dreams that show us who we really are.
So we crafted a plan. Tennis? Check. Padel Tennis? Still almost unknown in Germany – perfect timing! What followed were two years full of tournaments, training matches, and travels across the country. Every chance, every experience, every possible moment we could grab. And while others might have thought “They must be crazy,” I had my own Seven D® as a daily companion – basically my personal “Mission Control,” helping me program the goal not as distant wishful thinking, but as an already achieved reality.
Spoiler Alert: In autumn 2021, there we stood, positions 1 and 2 in the German rankings, part of the national team, and – goosebumps – the national anthem played at the European Championships. For us.
Was it an ego goal? Absolutely. Would I do it again? For the sport yes, for the goal no. But here’s the kicker: It was never really about the anthem. It was about remembering what happens when we stop setting limits for ourselves. When we start taking the “what if” questions seriously.
You know those moments when you feel there’s more inside you? That quiet voice whispering “there’s more possible” while the louder voice screams “but how, I don’t even know how!”? Welcome to the club of chronic self-doubters – or rather, the club of forgetful giants.
Because let’s be honest: How often have we stood in our own way with beliefs like “I need to learn more first” or “I’m not ready for this yet”? That’s like standing in front of a mirror saying “Sorry, I can’t look at myself until I look better.” Absurd, right?
This realization led to the development of Seven D® – an innovation that combines personalized audio experiences with coaching-based transformation. When someone asks what I do for a living, I say: “I’m a translator for forgotten greatness.” Sounds lofty? Maybe. But when you see a CEO making crystal-clear decisions after four minutes of audio experience, or an athlete breaking their own limits, you know: Nothing new was needed – it was all already there.
People and circumstances don’t randomly enter our lives. Call it the law of resonance, destiny, or cosmic joke – looking back usually shows us very clearly that we attracted exactly the people and situations that matched our state at the time. Like a perfectly choreographed dance where we sometimes forget that we’re making the music ourselves.
What fulfills me most? Seeing people access resources in just three minutes daily that they didn’t even know they possessed. It’s like giving them a key to a room they thought was locked forever – only to realize they themselves are the key.
Because sometimes it takes just a moment of pause, a brief impulse, to remember who we really are. And yes, maybe we can’t win at life – but we can write damn good stories while we play it.
How about you? What greatness is waiting to be re-discovered by you?

Any advice for managing a team?
When someone asks me about team management, I often find myself smiling. Because my story actually began quite differently – with a morning ritual that had only two participants: me and my reflection. And you know what? Sometimes those were the most enlightening meetings of all.
Inspiration is what great leaders do – Inspiration is what great leaders are. A beautiful LinkedIn quote, isn’t it? But along my journey, I discovered a quiet yet profound truth: sometimes leadership strength means acknowledging that you need to do your own inner work first.
You see, while many talk about scaling, team building, and process optimization – all important topics! – it became increasingly clear to me that my business functions like a sensitive sensor for my internal state. It’s a bit like a garden: the plants often reflect how the gardener is doing.
So I chose to walk the path as a solopreneur first. Not out of a need for control, but from a quiet feeling that every external development begins with an inner journey. It was a time of learning, growing, and yes, sometimes stumbling.
You know, there’s this wonderful moment when you stop running from your own shadows and start embracing them as part of your story. For me, it was like opening a door – the more willing I was to look at my own issues, the more authentic not only my work became, but my entire presence as well.
The surprising part? My business evolved organically alongside this journey. It became a mirror of my own development – with all its ups and downs, all its learnings and aha moments. And at some point, I understood: the emotional baggage we carry inevitably colors everything we do.
It’s a bit like dancing: only when we’ve found our own rhythm can we truly synchronize with others. Sometimes we need those solo dance lessons to become a better dance partner later on.
Today, I see my business not just as a company, but as a development journey. Every challenge, every “mistake,” and every success becomes an invitation to look deeper and grow further.
Perhaps this is one of the quieter truths about successful leadership: that sometimes we need to take one step back to move two steps forward. That real strength also lies in seeing ourselves with gentler eyes.
What do you think? What “solo dance lessons” might be waiting for you in your business right now?

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Oh, I love this question because my answer probably breaks every marketing rulebook out there. You know those “10 Steps to Skyrocket Your Business” guides? Well, I basically did the opposite.
For the longest time, my entire marketing strategy consisted of exactly zero marketing. No fancy ads, no carefully curated content calendar, not even a “Hey, I exist!” post. Why? Because I had this deep-seated need to grow purely through recommendations. And let me tell you, there’s something incredibly validating about being “seen” this way – when people talk about you because they want to, not because your Facebook algorithm told them to.
It’s a bit like dating, you know? We’ve all met that person who tries too hard at the bar, and then there’s that interesting character in the corner who’s just authentically themselves, drawing people in naturally. I wanted to be the business equivalent of that second person.
But here’s where it gets interesting – and where I had to check my own ego at the door. Over time, I realized something: as an entrepreneur, there are certain steps you simply need to take. It’s like having a beautiful garden but keeping it behind a ten-foot wall. Yes, the flowers are amazing, but how is anyone supposed to know they’re there?
I had to learn that visibility doesn’t have to mean selling your soul. You don’t need to become that person at the bar desperately handing out business cards. But you can – and probably should – send the world a gentle invitation to discover what you’ve created. Because here’s the truth: how can people decide if they resonate with you, your service, or your product if they don’t even know you exist?
Think about it this way: imagine you’ve composed the most beautiful piece of music. Would keeping it locked in your drawer serve anyone? Would it help those who might find healing, inspiration, or joy in your melody?
For me, the learning was clear: first quality, then reach. It’s like building a house – you want the foundation to be rock solid before you invite people over for the housewarming party. This approach might take longer, but it ensures that your business maintains the same level of integrity as you do.
It’s about finding that sweet spot between being invisible and being invasive. Between waiting to be discovered and shouting from the rooftops. Between maintaining your integrity and acknowledging that yes, you’re running a business, not a secret society.
So now when people ask me about growing their client base, I tell them: “Build something so good that people want to talk about it. Then, gently let them know it exists.” Because at the end of the day, true growth isn’t about how many people know you exist – it’s about how many people’s lives are better because you do.
What do you think? Are you perhaps keeping your own garden hidden behind walls?
