Thomasina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

my business came about while i was working on a client’s hair and she began to tell me about the problems she was having with her hair and how nothing was working I realized I myself was having some of the same issues so I began to research and find natural herbs that would help with not only my concerns but hers as well after a lot of long nights and trial and error I got my measurements right I started with two problems and now we have almost 30

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

i started my business about ten years ago. A close friend of mine pushed me to begin selling my products and at the time, I only had two; now I have 23. I was a stylist at the time I was looking for a product that would not only help my clients but my family as well. I had tried everything under the sun and nothing helped so I started researching different herbs that would help heal and promote growth. I’m a science geek so mixing and pairing oils and fragrances was easy for me and I can admit it took me six years to get my formulas right all prise to the ancestors I did cause my products are now better than ever.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?

i have a website i sell my products on Its backed by Square the pros are I love being hands-on with my business its the love and care i put into all my products i put out cons is the rate ten to go up and that can hurt you if you’re not getting the sale to cover the overhead

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

i was and still am a hairstylist my business started with my clients cause my first two products were products for the hair and scalp so I would take everything I made in doing hair and buy all my ingredients, containers, mixers, and labels i put everything i earned into my business because i believed in my heart i could make a different one person at a time
