We recently connected with Theresa Westbrook and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Theresa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

With a professional background in nursing, I am passionate about helping others heal from heartbreaking tragedies. As a result, I have given myself to producing inspirational media and ministry that lead others to hope, healing, and sweet freedom found in Christ Jesus.

Active in ministry for decades, in 2007 my husband, Don Westbrook, and I founded the innovative and restorative 501(c)(3) Pearls of Shalom Ministries. The ministry offers several hope-filled resources which include:

– A Strand of Pearls, Theresa’s personal story of conquering tragic childhood sexual abuse through the healing and restoring touch of Jesus Christ.
– The Advocates: Of the Abused and Silent, which gives voice to childhood abuse survivors by using a uniquely created national television platform.
– God’s Pearl, an award-winning music video, shares Theresa’s story of healing and restoration through Christ.

These empowering resources are widely used by Christian leaders and counseling professionals. They are often donated for the purpose of offering hope and healing to people around the world.

Our newest publication SHATTERED: God Heals Broken Hearts, is a compilation of true stories from broken-hearted people who have survived the most explosive shatters in life.

Theresa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Simultaneously launching the ministry and the popular Time with Theresa TV show requires me to fill multiple positions. Both the ministry and TV show are reaching audiences around the world. I have been honored to interview Christian leaders and talents across the nation. Some of my past guests have included Dr. Robert Jeffress, Dr. Lance Wallnau, and Pastor George Pearsons, actors Kevin and Sam Sorbo, Stephen Baldwin, Nancy Stafford, Cameron Arnett and Benjamin Dane, reality stars Missy, Al and Lisa Robertson, film makers Tammy Lane, Rick Reyna, Carla McDougal, Earl Heard, and John Finch, vocalist Harmini, Mary Fay Jackson and many more.

Is there a mission driving your creative journey?

My mission in life is to introduce the driving force behind my ministry and media activities; Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and soon coming King.

I actively seek out any and all forms of communication to share this eternally rewarding message.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative in your experience?

Jesus Christ, the most notable Holy Being throughout history purposely used every opportunity and available platform to share healing and salvation with humanity. He did this through Biblical and Spiritual teachings, parables, signs, miracles, and wonders. Before His divine ascension, Jesus instructed us to perpetually carry the gospel forward following His example into all the world until He returns.

Just imagine the stories of overcomers we will hear in heaven as a result of Jesus’ sacrifice. Envision how joyful it will be to see those we personally reached for Christ during our lifetime. How could we ever refuse such a glorious invitation to share Jesus Christ, the greatest gift that ever was, is, and ever will be with our fellow sojourners.
