Tessie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
One time, You Aura Star was invited to do aura readings at a women’s retreat focused on “coming home” to themselves through self love. Not only were the women there so incredibly kind, but there was just something special that could be felt from a group of women coming together to focus on healing. It’s a memory I think of often and was definitely a moment that deeply fueled my passion for this work and helping others.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Tessie Hall, I am an aura reader and co-owner of You Aura Star. A spiritual business with a focus on aura photography and readings.
The main reason I got into this type of work is because I’ve experienced first hand how impactful an aura reading can be for someone. The first time I had my aura read, I was going through a very intense internal transformation in reconnecting to myself. I had put other people’s needs before my own for so long that I forgot who I was. So when I had my aura read I really connected with the characteristics of my aura color. It was such an empowering experience in that moment, and long term, helped me not only “level up” but also strengthened my relationship with trusting myself and my intuition again. And from listening to my intuition, the universe eventually led me back full circle and now I can provide an aura reading experience for others.
You Aura Star’s main emphasis is on aura photos and readings. An aura reading is a unique way to dive deep into the energetic layers surrounding a person to gain insight about personality, emotions, and spiritual well-being. With an aura reading you can obtain valuable insights into your current state of mind, identify personal strengths/weaknesses, and uncover potential blockages, helping you to reach a new level of confidence and self-awareness.
We also carry a variety of items with the intention to help assist in aligning and cleansing one’s energy. Our handmade crystal bracelets are designed to work in cohesion with an aura reading to help balance out an individual’s energy to achieve a feeling of harmony and more balanced energetic flow. Our mess free botanical bath salts are designed to help you enjoy your self care while also cleansing yourself from other people’s energies, leaving you feeling more refreshed.
When I do aura readings I understand that there is a potential for this experience to have a big impact on our clients when they leave. I take that very seriously and try my best to create a safe space to nurture these experiences. I do this work because I genuinely feel like it’s so beneficial for others and I love being able to experience a “full circle” moment with every reading.
One of the reasons I love doing aura readings is because it can be such a validating experience for the client. To have a complete stranger tell them things that are so accurate about themselves really helps our clients feel seen. For some clients that validation is more of a fun personality test, and sometimes it’s a really powerful moment of clarity for our client. I want you reading this to know that doing this work is truly more fulfilling than I can explain, and I honestly do my best to make every reading an enjoyable experience.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I was 31 I found myself at a crossroads. I had just graduated from college to be an x-ray technician, but during the last few months of my program I realized how physically and emotionally draining that job was for me. I felt like I energetically had nothing else to give my family when I came home at night. I really didn’t like that, so after months of analyzing the situation every which way, I ultimately decided to walk away from my hard earned college degree and take a leap of faith, trusting that I’d end up in a place more fitting for me. And there’s no way I would be doing aura readings if I didn’t take that risk on myself.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My business partner is actually my sister in law, and I’ve known her for over a decade. But the way everything organically happened between us to create You Aura Star felt very divinely guided. After I had my aura read for the first time, I had such a good experience that when I came home, I remember telling my husband how I thought reading auras would be such a fun job to have, but I never really gave it another thought. Then almost a year later, out of nowhere, my sister in law approached me about doing aura readings together, and then all the pieces just fell into place. The whole experience felt like a magical dream come true.
