We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Taylor Ferguson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Taylor below.
Taylor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
When I became a stay-at-home mom, my days quickly filled with the beautiful chaos of motherhood — snacks, nap schedules, cleaning up toys, and trying to find little moments for myself in between. While I loved being home with my kids, I also felt a desire to create something that was my own.
Content creation started very naturally. I began sharing small pieces of my everyday life online — simple home finds, routines, and relatable mom moments. I wasn’t trying to start a business at first; it was simply a creative outlet.
What surprised me was how many other moms connected with it. Women started messaging me saying they felt seen or asking about products that made life easier with kids. That’s when I realized this could become something meaningful.
What excited me most was the idea that I didn’t have to choose between motherhood and building something for myself — I could do both.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a stay-at-home mom and content creator who shares relatable moments from everyday motherhood. My content focuses on simple routines, affordable home finds, and little lifestyle tips that help make daily life with kids feel easier and more enjoyable. I originally started sharing online as a creative outlet during early motherhood, but it quickly grew into something more when other moms began connecting with my content.
What I create is really centered around helping women feel seen in this stage of life. Motherhood can feel overwhelming at times, and I try to share things that are practical, honest, and encouraging — whether that’s a helpful product I love, a routine that makes the day smoother, or just a reminder that none of us are doing this alone.
What sets my content apart is that it comes directly from my real life as a mom. I’m not sharing a perfect version of motherhood — I’m sharing the everyday moments.
What I’m most proud of is building a community where other moms feel supported, understood, and inspired.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that I needed to have everything perfectly figured out before starting something new. When I first began sharing content, I felt a lot of pressure to make everything look polished or “professional” before putting it out into the world. I worried about whether my videos were good enough or if people would take me seriously.
Over time, I realized that perfection isn’t what people connect with — authenticity is. Some of my most meaningful connections with other moms came from the simplest, most unfiltered moments of everyday life.
The backstory really comes from stepping into motherhood. Becoming a mom taught me that life is messy, unpredictable, and beautiful all at once. Once I let go of the pressure to be perfect, I started showing up more confidently and honestly online.
Ironically, that’s when my content began resonating the most.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One moment that really showed me the importance of resilience came when I was trying to stay consistent with content while navigating a lot in my personal life. Being a stay-at-home mom means your days are unpredictable — kids get sick, schedules change, and there are times when you’re running on very little sleep.
There were definitely moments when I felt discouraged and wondered if continuing to show up online was worth it. Growth can be slow, and it’s easy to doubt yourself when you’re building something from the ground up.
What kept me going was remembering why I started in the first place — to connect with other moms and create something meaningful while still being present for my family. Instead of waiting for the “perfect” time, I learned to keep showing up in small ways.
That experience taught me that resilience often looks like simply continuing, even on the days when things feel hard.
