Hi Tatiana, thanks for joining us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?

Yes, I’ve been able to earn a full-time living from my creative work, but it’s been a winding road to get here. My journey began back in high school at Felix Varela High School, where I enrolled in an outstanding media arts program. This experience sparked my initial interest in graphic design. After graduating in 2004, I landed a graphic design position and, by the age of 26, became a partner at Inklab Signs. We successfully ran the business until 2021, when we decided to sell and explore new ventures.

Following the sale, I transitioned fully into digital media, focusing on social media management with Wolfclan Media. This shift reignited a passion of mine—photography, something I had always loved. I was fortunate to meet an incredible photographer named Ernesto Jiménez, who inspired me to dive back into photography full-time. After a year of building my confidence, I now specialize in various types of photography, including business photography, headshots, events, and family portraits through my company, Twist Media Productions.

The journey wasn’t straightforward, and it took many years to reach this point. My advice to anyone pursuing a digital media business is to embrace continuous learning. The industry evolves rapidly, and staying up-to-date is crucial. If I could go back, I would have embraced this mindset earlier during my time in the signs and printing business. But with the lessons learned, I’m now stronger and more prepared for growth.

Hi, my name is Tatiana Escobar, a proud first-generation immigrant from El Salvador. My parents brought me to the United States when I was just one year old, and I’m honored to call myself an American. I’ve been immersed in the creative marketing world for 20 years, and through this journey, I’ve honed my craft in content creation, with a focus on photography and videography at Twist Media Productions.

At Twist Media Productions, we specialize in providing comprehensive content creation packages, allowing our clients to focus on their business without the stress of creating engaging social media content. Our services include not only professional photography and videography but also personal work like family portraits, events, weddings, and more.

I believe that every shot tells a story, and in the fast-paced, digital world we live in, it’s easy to overlook the beauty of those fleeting moments. Having experienced the loss of loved ones, I’ve learned that the memories we capture are the ones that last forever. My passion is to be there for you, capturing those precious moments that will live on for generations.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is the ability to connect with people on a deep, emotional level through my work. Whether it’s capturing the joy of a wedding day, the pride of a business owner, or the quiet beauty of a family moment, I love being able to freeze these memories in time. Photography and creative work allow me to tell stories without words, to convey feelings that are sometimes hard to articulate.

Additionally, I find immense joy in helping businesses build out their dreams from the foundation. Being part of the entire process, from the initial concept to seeing each client’s success, is incredibly fulfilling. There’s something special about contributing to their journey and witnessing their growth. It’s a privilege to create something that not only looks beautiful but also holds significant meaning for those I work with, whether in their personal lives or professional endeavors.

I’m really excited about what NFTs have become and their potential in the digital landscape. I see them as a fantastic way to collaborate with other businesses, offering unique opportunities to give digital media more purpose. While I’m still exploring how to best integrate NFTs into my business, I firmly believe they hold significant potential when used correctly.
