We were lucky to catch up with Tarena Gilmore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tarena, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think it takes consistency and holding yourself accountable to the goals that you want to achieve in life. Making your business a priority and not just something you dive into every once in awhile you have to be committed to your craft and journey no matter how hard it gets.

Tarena, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Since I was a little girl I would organize everything and soon I learned that’s how I got things done. I needed a plan and I needed to separate things in order to function in a way. If I had chores to do I would write them out and separate them from what took the longest to what was the fastest. I turned the gift of organization into a business by helping business owner’s organize their goals and then holding them accountable. When you have so many scattered thoughts and ideas sometimes it’s hard to figure out what to do first so you end up procrastinating and never getting anything done. Example if you have a deadline for something but you put it off because you have four other things to do you miss the dead line because you didn’t have things in order or someone not hold you accountable. That’s what I help my clients with decluttering their dreams goals and ideas and making them stick to their own plan. Some people need that personal cheerleader and extra push to be the success story they desire to be and I am that for my clients. I am extremely proud of myself for actually jumping out on faith and watching my idea for business come to life. I have only been operating since February 2022 and I onboarded eight clients who truly love my services. Hearing “I didn’t know I needed this!” Or “ business owners need this and they just don’t know it yet” gives me the motivation to keep going because this is something BIG!
I want potential clients to know that their dreams matter and to never let anyone or anything talk them out of what they have envisioned for themselves. Stop procrastinating it is money out here to be made and it’s waiting on you. What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Being transparent and honest and letting my clients see the real me. I am a person that really wants everyone to win. I will hold you accountable even if that means I get on your nerves everyday or every other day but your goals matter to me and they see that in everything I do for them.
I’ve had consultations that I knew I wasn’t what that potential client was looking for an instead of me making them believe they needed me I recommended them to other business owners that I don’t know but follow on Instagram. My integrity has grown my clientele.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I organized a calendar by days of the week and wrote out topics that I would post about on certain days. I made sure to do my research so that people knew just by glancing that my information was correct. I used a content creator website/app called Canva and that helped a lot with creating content that caught the eye of potential clients.
