Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tara Love. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Tara, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I was blessed with the gift of vocal ability. It was quite natural for this path to occur, and it has led me to crafting my own musical creations. My craft is to develop, relearn, and realign myself. It is imperative to have knowledge of self, and to display that energy into the art I release.
Although, I am a spiritual-being now, I grew up singing in church and school choirs. So, I am very familiar with sight-reading, harmonizing, tone, and pitch. These are essential skills needed to produce clear and compelling vocals. Singing is not new to me, but recording in studio was, when I first started in 2019. But, I feel that I have accomplished the utilization of recording equipments, such as pro-tools, and features that are imbedded with it, for instance using reverb.
I hope my music reflects my perspective, my understanding, and my passion for unification and self evaluation. So, I try not to focus on obstacles I have faced, since I am capable of knowing my abilities and knowing my talent. This helps me push forward and excel.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Tara Love (pronounced “Tera”), an independent songstress and songwriter, with a desire to be one with self, to have knowledge of self, and to think for myself. I hope to produce a message that is clarifying. I recorded my first song and debut single, “Real Music,” in April 2019. Due to the success of the song, I continued to write song lyrics and poems, and I released three EPs since then. My passion for writing has constantly grown, now, it is expanding beyond music, since I am planning to release a literary work. I will soon be starting a publishing company, “Victor Publications,” for my musical creations and literary works. My first book will be released in 2023. My debut album, “The Mirror” will be released this year, 2022.
I believe in my sound and in its power to reach the masses of individuals who can relate to the lyrics and the stories I release. I hope that the supporters I have continue to watch me grow, and the supporters that are yet to come enjoy what is being put out. My characteristics include strength, honesty, directness, and passion. I am entering into greatness and excellence, and new opportunities are overflowing, this is my declaration.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I have learned to live in each moment that life brings. I am truly thankful to God for blessing me with the gift of seeing my own growth. Musically, I have gained a bigger audience. I have over 100,000 streams as a completely independent artist . I have magazine features (yes, plural) and professional candids. In addition, which is the most important, I have compelling and empowering songs. This is a gift to me, this is the reward, seeing my accomplishments. Additionally, outside of music, I have earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Economics, with a minor in Marketing. And, I am now pursuing my Master’s of Arts degree in Technical and Professional Writing, graduating in Spring 2023. I am a versatile individual, who is extremely determined.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I have various goals that I must accomplish. First, is starting a publishing company, this holds highest importance. Continuing to have complete creative control over the songs I construct is another requirement and goal. As previously mentioned, I will release my debut album this year, 2022, and graduate with my master’s degree in 2023. Lastly, I have an upcoming release for my first intellectual publication, date is TBA, but it also set for the year of 2023. This book will be illustrious and empowering. My vision and mission plan is engraved in my mind and it keeps me motivated and ambitious.
