TaKevalyn, appreciate you joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Happy is circumstantial soul eye love the term JOY! Eye am joyful as a business owner which means no matter what eye still love what eye dew! When eye think about a regular job eye’m blissed that eye was let go officially July 30, 2024. It had been a long time since 2013 keeping up with having a regular job while investing consistently in my business and making my dreams come true. It made the journey worth it and my heart is forever full being able tew flow & transition full time intew entrepreneurship as an embodied lifestyle.

Gourmet Greetings! My name is TaKevalyn! Known as Gourmet Bae & or TK! Eye am yewr moufgasm specialist specializing in homemade desserts such as cookies, marshmallow treats, & mini pound cake loaves. Eye got intew this industry of baking the moment eye lost my scholarship in college (Dec. 2013) and still had tew pay for the remaining years. Upon graduating eye realized that it was more fun baking & serving others which fueled my passion for continuing on which turned intew a whole business. Eye craft desserts in a gourmet way, giving yew organic ingredients without compromising on taste! A southern twist from my roots. What makes me yewnique is my gourmet ecosystem:) If yew may not want a #moufgasm, eye assist in #lifegasms which are one on one sessions / consultations. There’s the LIFEGASM Academy where eye provide principles that are beneficial tew everyday living that eventually creates a lifestyle desired and fulfilling. Sacred Soulgasms which is an organic vegan skincare line & houses my infamous pain salve “KEDIE Liniment”. Eye now have merchandise called Sacred Threadz, affirmations yew can wear, love in every stitch. It is a stitched only apparel line which was a dope decision & different.
What sets me apart from others is my language / lingo & how eye choose tew show up in my businesses. A sacred contradiction unapologetically. Eye refuse tew shrink or change solely for the safety of others. Eye am most proud of my gourmet ecosystem that was created, yew are more than wealthcome tew experience life after survival with me.

Of course! Eye have a recent one actually lol. There’s been a sugar shortage where eye’m located & eye had tew travel tew four different states just tew purchase the sugar. Tew give perspective— my pinpoint eye have access tew Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee & Texas. Sugar was eventually purchased in Arkansas. Almost a moment where eye could’ve gotten discouraged, in which eye almost did because in addition tew the sugar shortage there was a specific cereal shortage soul eye had a hard time getting what eye needed tew make love. Felt personally attacked however it all worked out. There were certain principles that eye referred tew that gave me the courage and confidence tew keep fighting and finding a solution.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Soul eye built my audience on social media by simply posting! Posting as much as eye can advertising my work & the process of it all. My advice tew those just starting tew build on social media would be tew NEVER GIVE UP! post as if there’s no one watching soul yew won’t be dependent on external validation
