Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taha Chanouha. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Hard work, dedication, discipline and commitment with the a hint of luck sometimes!
Story:
When I first started my photography journey in Toronto I was putting out a lot of content and photos without seeing much results to the point where I wanted to give up and sell all my gear. However, after deciding to keep going I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to work with Fujifilm Canada which changed my entire trajectory.

Taha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Taha Chanouha, I am a photographer and content creator who moved from Lebanon to Canada in 2022 seeking a better life and opportunities. After trying to get a job as a software engineer and failing several times, I decided to focus on making content which was my dream. I started photography back in 2018 when I was going through depression.
I help clients improve their image on social media platforms, whether its products, videos to market themselves, photos to post on socials or their website, whatever is needed to help clients improve their numbers and presence online to drive more traffic and work. What sets me apart is having both a mind for solving problems that comes from my computer science degree and a creative mind that I developed over the years.
I am most proud of my journey and growth, looking back on all the obstacles and how I started to where I am now. Nothing makes me prouder than looking in the mirror and saying “I did this by myself”
I want clients/fans/followers to know that I am genuine, I am not trying to fake my life or fake who I am for socials. I am who I am, this is what you get!

Have you ever had to pivot?
Believe it or not, I have a bachelors and masters degrees in computer science, and I worked as a software engineer for 5 years! When I first moved to Canada in 2022, I was looking for jobs in that domain, however, when I got rejected several times from dream jobs. I felt the need to pivot my career and do something instead of wasting time doing nothing, I decided to work hard when it comes to photography and shift my career path. And thankfully, things worked out. I have went from a software engineer to a content creator.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The fact that you can put yourself out there, and be vulnerable enough to share your creativity with the world. A way to express yourself is always important and having people appreciate your work or just even look at it makes you feel seen.
