We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tabatha Pankop a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tabatha, appreciate you joining us today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. So, we’d appreciate if you could open up about your growth story and the nitty, gritty details that went into scaling up.
I started with a brokerage that provided leads to help me jump-start my career. Within 1 year, I successfully became an independent agent with no additional sources to receive business from. My model is to work hard, have integrity, and be transparent. I have always had a go-getter mentality and strive to be my best. I have received a ton of referrals from outside of my business through other realtors in different cities & states, to repeat clients through their friends, families, co-workers, etc. I have consistently expanded my business annually. I have had ups and downs through this business, so it’s not always peaches & cream. But I stand strong and continue being me through it all.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was introduced to real estate by an old friend for whom I was an assistant. I am a solution-based person that strive to give honest, transparent, and kind service. I solve a magnitude of problems daily, so there’s always something new that happens. I’ve seen almost everything when it comes to real estate, lol. What I am most proud of???……Well, that made me really think! Honestly, I would say my growth in this business. And when I say growth, I mean my knowledge, experience, professionalism, and much more.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Simple – I stay in touch with social media & my CRM. Checking in on their new chapters in their life, such as having a new baby, birthdays, anniversaries, going to their cook-outs, etc. Also, how responsive I am and being active in the business.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals through other clients.
