We recently connected with Susana Fuertes and have shared our conversation below.

Susana , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Our mission is to help people create long-lasting and happy memories one floral arrangement at a time!. Enamor Creations’ mission was born from the heartbreaking experience of witnessing my grandmother’s rose garden drift away. As my grandmother’s Alzheimer’s’ progressed, she could no longer take care of her rose garden. My hope was to keep her memory alive, her rose garden, and all the happy memories intact. After doing intense research, I found an old, nontoxic, and natural technique of flower preservation that has been discreetly used to preserve flowers to decorate royalty’s most prestige castles and homes for decades.

This preservation method allows roses to look fresh day after day for over a year without the need for water or maintenance. Our luxurious preserved roses and fresh-cut floral compositions turn a traditional gift into a piece of art. All our creations will make any place look beautiful and any person happy all year long.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Our company is the product of wanting to help people express their feelings and preserve my happiest early childhood memories in my home country of Lima, Peru. I remember being at my grandmother’s side while she arranged her roses from her rose garden. My loving grandfather would gift her additional flowers every week. In January 2017, I took these fond memories, along with my passion for flowers and love for art to start my company, Enamor Creations LLC. Enamor Creations is an innovative, luxurious floral art & gift boutique where love and nature connect to create a masterpiece. All of our pieces leave a happy long-lasting impression.

We offer a great variety of exotic fresh cut and real preserved roses and flowers. From classic to non-traditional floral vases, plus an exquisite color palette. Our roses are derived from the volcanic area of Ecuador, where the biggest and strongest roses grow. We are proud to bring our clients; unique and customized floral creations based on their styles and preference. They can opt for fresh-cut flowers or preserved roses. From DIY floral workshops, wall art, windows display, interior decor, wedding bouquets, centerpieces, and rose bears, we provide high-quality and unique products. Our clients tell us their vision and we bring it to reality, or they just leave the creation in our hands and we never disappoint. Our client’s happiness and satisfaction are our number one priority.

What also sets us apart is we love to constantly innovate. Our clients love to surprise their loved ones in unique ways. A few years ago we started using QR message codes on our arrangements. This allows recipients to scan with their smartphone a QR code and see a personalized video message or song from their loved one. We also support nonprofit organizations by hosting fundraising floral workshops at nursing homes, animal sanctuaries, and other nonprofit organizations to help spread love and kindness. Our goal is to have our creations be a part of people’s special moments. We spread happiness and love.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Some things that have helped our business’s reputation stay strong, positive, and healthy are keeping our promises. If your business makes a promise, you must keep it. If we say we ship within 24 hours, we ship within 24 hours. If we say that we offer free delivery, we don’t add any extra hidden fees.

It is also as important to remember that not all promises are explicit. The simple buyer transaction itself is a promise. The customer believes that they will receive the product or services that they purchased in a timely fashion. They also believe that what they bought is worth what they paid for it. If you’re not keeping this most important promise, your reputation will suffer.

We also like to reward customers for positive interactions. We appreciate it when our customers are kind and respectful towards our staff.

It is also important to learn from your mistakes and do your best to help the customer. For example, if a customer calls because they are upset that the product they purchased doesn’t work, don’t wait for them to demand a return; offer to exchange it for them. If they reveal that their service was unsatisfactory, offer to make it right before they have to tell you that it’s what they need. Apologize when you make mistakes. No company is perfect. At some point, your company will make a mistake. A staff may react poorly to a review or demand, or there will be a problem down a supply chain that causes products to be delivered late. What sets good companies apart from the bad ones is how the companies handle the issues when they arise.

Remember a business that commits to its goals, lives its mission, and keeps its promises will have a good reputation. Take control of your reputation by managing the factors that would give you a bad reputation; the rest will take care of itself.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients for us has been “Word Of Mouth”. Most people trust testimonials and online reviews as much as personal recommendations. They help reassure the performance, quality, and/or value of your claims and make consumers feel more comfortable doing business with you. Testimonials can be written or video and can be hosted on your website or pulled from others.
