Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Suchi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Suchi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
A very meaningful project that I worked on recently was producing a set of editorial illustrations for ‘Medical facilities for rural population’ particularly Women.
I’ve always believed that art should do more than just look good—it should feel real. My recent project was a perfect example of this. Instead of leaning on “safe” or generic designs, I used real-life stories and photos to ground my illustrations.
I intentionally keep my style hand-drawn and slightly unpolished because I want the audience to see themselves in the work. For me, connection is the goal; the illustration is just the medium.

Suchi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I believe the best illustrations happen when you listen as much as you draw. For over 20 years, I’ve been helping brands and families tell their stories through a digital lens. Based in the vibrant hub of Dubai, I work with clients worldwide to create visuals that are as strategic as they are spirited.
My secret sauce? Attentive listening and a love for the “quirky.” I dive deep into research to ensure every detail is captured, but I always leave room for that unique element that makes a viewer stop and smile. From educational institutions to family portraits that now hang in homes across the globe, I take pride in being a reliable, timely partner who truly “gets” the brief.

Have you ever had to pivot?
In an era of rapid AI integration, my philosophy is simple: Embrace the efficiency, protect the art. I view generative AI not as a replacement for creativity, but as a powerful engine for workflow. While I use these tools to streamline the technical side of my business, my illustrations remain authentically human. I never use AI to ‘perfect’ my drawings; I believe the slight imperfections and hand-drawn nuances are exactly what give my work its heartbeat and relatability.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
True support for the arts goes beyond just ‘liking’ a post. It’s about choosing authentic, human-led art over mass-produced shortcuts. In this era of rapid sharing, the simplest way to support a creator is to tag and credit them. That one small act of visibility can be the bridge to an artist’s next project. Let’s build a creative ecosystem where we value the hand behind the work and ensure that every story told gets back to its teller.
