Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Haavik. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I have been blessed to be a part of many beautiful music projects throughout the years, each one carrying its own special memories, lessons, and stories. Every project has contributed to my journey as an artist, worship leader, and songwriter, and I am grateful for the people and experiences that have shaped me along the way.
However, the project closest to my heart is my upcoming EP, Holy Moment. Not simply because my name is attached to it, but because of the incredible people who have poured their hearts, gifts, prayers, and talents into bringing it to life. While I may be the one releasing these songs, this project has never felt like mine alone. From the very beginning, it has been a shared labor of love.
Every song, carries the fingerprints of gifted writers, musicians, producers, engineers, friends, and family members who believed in the vision and invested themselves in the process. Their creativity, encouragement, wisdom, and dedication have helped shape these songs into something far greater than I could have accomplished on my own. Because of that, Holy Moment represents not just my story, but the collective story of a community of people who came together with a shared purpose.
What makes this project especially meaningful is that it was born out of genuine moments with God—moments of worship, surrender, gratitude, and reflection. The songs are deeply personal, but my hope is that they will also resonate with others and create space for listeners to encounter the presence of God for themselves. My prayer is that these songs serve as reminders that God is near, that He is faithful, and that He often meets us in the ordinary moments that become holy because of His presence.
As excited as I am to share this music with the world, I am even more grateful for the people who have walked this journey with me. Their contributions have made this project what it is, and I consider Holy Moment as much their project as it is mine. It is a testament to the beauty of collaboration, the power of community, and the incredible things that can happen when people use their gifts together for the glory of God.
For that reason, Holy Moment will always hold a special place in my heart—not because it belongs to me, but because it reflects the faith, creativity, friendship, and shared vision of so many remarkable people who helped bring it to life.
The EP’s first song, My Whole Life, dropped on 06.19.26.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Worship has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Long before I could fully understand it, I was drawn to music and to the presence of God. What began as a passion in childhood grew into a calling when I started leading worship at the age of 14—and more than two decades later, I’m still doing what I love.
Now at 42, one of the greatest joys of my life is seeing people encounter Jesus in a real and personal way. There is nothing quite like watching someone experience God’s presence, discover His love, or take a deeper step in their walk with Him. Those moments continue to remind me why I do what I do.
While leading worship has always been a central part of my ministry, I have also developed a deep love for teaching, encouraging, and investing in others. I am passionate about helping people grow not only in their musical abilities, but also in their spiritual maturity and understanding of what it means to lead from a place of authenticity and devotion.
One of the things closest to my heart is mentoring the next generation of worship leaders. I love coming alongside emerging leaders, sharing what I’ve learned through years of ministry, and helping them discover their own unique calling. My desire is to see them lead with excellence, humility, and a genuine love for Jesus, so that they can impact others for His Kingdom for years to come.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to use the gifts God has entrusted to me to further His Kingdom in whatever capacity and through whatever opportunities He places before me. Whether through songwriting, leading worship, collaboration, or everyday conversations, my desire is that my life and creative work would reflect Christ and bring glory to Him.
As a songwriter and artist, I want to create and release music that is honest, authentic, and deeply relatable. I believe some of the most powerful songs are the ones that meet people where they are—in their joys, struggles, questions, victories, and disappointments—and remind them that they are not alone. I want my music to speak to real life while continually pointing listeners back to the hope, truth, and faithfulness found in Jesus.
My prayer is that every song I write would not only connect with people emotionally, but also encourage them spiritually. I hope my music inspires others to draw closer to God, trust Him more fully, and discover the depth of His love and grace in every season of life. If the work I create helps someone find hope, encounter Christ, or take one step closer to Him, then I consider that a privilege and a purpose fulfilled.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There are so many rewarding things about being a creative, but one of the greatest gifts is that I never stop being a student. Creativity has a way of keeping me curious, humble, and open to growth. Every project becomes an opportunity to learn something new—not just about the craft itself, but about people, perspectives, and the world around me.
One of my favorite parts of the creative process is getting to write and collaborate with other talented artists and storytellers. Being surrounded by gifted creatives means constantly encountering fresh ideas, unique experiences, and different ways of seeing the same thing. Their insights challenge me, inspire me, and often push me beyond the limits of my own thinking.
I love that creativity isn’t a destination where you finally arrive and know it all. It’s an ongoing journey of discovery. Every conversation, collaboration, and shared experience becomes a chance to glean wisdom, sharpen my skills, and grow both personally and professionally.
There is something incredibly life-giving about sitting around a table with people who think differently, create differently, and carry different stories. Those moments remind me that creativity flourishes in community. The exchange of ideas, the willingness to learn from one another, and the shared pursuit of creating something meaningful make the process just as rewarding as the finished work.
For me, being a creative means having a lifelong invitation to learn. And that continual growth—the opportunity to remain curious, inspired, and teachable—is one of the things I treasure most.
