We were lucky to catch up with Stella Lee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stella, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Yes, I am happy as an artist and creative. Although there are times when I face countless challenges or am not feeling motivated, overall being creative and expressing myself artistically is my happy zone. What’s funny is that I have a regular job along with pushing my creative work on the side. I respect those that take the risk to drop their regular job and pursue their dreams wholeheartedly however, I want to make sure I’m stable as I’m able to accomplish my dreams one by one.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Stella Cher Lee. I am a multi talented artist. I sing R&B, pop and have an album called “2:22” out on Apple, Spotify, Youtube and other platforms. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember but it really popped off when I met a wonderful friend, producer and rapper, Dante Juhkel in 2019-2020. He has helped me tremendously with the album and production and I couldn’t be more thankful.
I make press on nails of my own. This began during primetime of COVID 2020. Due to a lot of businesses being closed down or closing earlier, I made the decision to try and do it myself. I never had the intention to sell my designs however, people around me as well as strangers would encourage and ask me where they could purchase some. Fast forward to this year, I will be launching my very own online custom press on nail store called, “The DudeCher Club” on 1/11/2024.
I am a self taught makeup artist. I am by no means professional, but I have learned many tips and tricks along the way thanks to fellow beauty Youtubers online. I also started to delve deeper into the realm of makeup around 2020. The biggest takeaway from this industry is that makeup comes in all forms. It taught me to remember that not everyone will like your style and that’s okay because this is MY style.
Lastly, I create content regarding all of the things above. I created, edited and directed my own music video for a song of mine called, “Love And Other Drugs ft. Dante Juhkel”. I’ve created a couple of tutorials of unique and trending makeup looks on my Youtube channel/DudeCher. And I’ll continue to make more to show others what I can offer.
My purpose is to encourage, educate and entertain others. Through these creative outlets, I am able to be my authentic self and that’s the most important thing in life to me.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in my multi creative journey is to be recognized and appreciated for my talents. Although some will argue that I’m doing too much, this hectic rotation keeps me sane. The overall goal is for me to successfully educate, encourage and entertain others and have them share the love further.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is the result of the creation. Understanding the journey, learning to be vulnerable and patient with not only yourself but to others is an extremely hard factor for many like me. You unravel a part of yourself that you didn’t think could be possible. It opens up endless possibilities and inspires others.
