Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stefanie Asante-Totimeh. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stefanie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Changing my brand direction this year from fitness to nursing and garden related topics was a risk I am benefiting positively from. I was scared how my community might take it, but it has been positive to see the growth in my community.
Stefanie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been a Registered Nurse for 13 years.My background is Icu and Perianesthesia. I enjoy advocating for my patients as well as mentoring new nurses. I create a warm atmosphere wherever I am so that people feel comfortable asking me for help. As a content creator, I use my platform to entertain and educate about my nursing profession as well as my life outside works a mom, commercial model, and gardener. I use my platform to show a positive representation of a working black immigrant mom who loves life, wellness, and provides positive coping mechanisms. I look forward to working with brands that align with platform.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I listen to my audience and create content that is relatable, entertaining, as well as educative. It is important to acknowledge the community that you already have in order to grow.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
You should not be afraid to make mistakes. Some perfection prevents you from exploring different ideas thus limiting your potential to grow as a more resilient person.
