Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sorenna Stewart. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sorenna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I definitely wish that I started documenting my life much earlier. I had an interesting upbringing and have been through a lot at my age. I feel like if I was able to record and vlog my life then, my audience may be bigger because of the relatability. However, I’m grateful for the audience I currently have and I pride myself on being transparent.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Sorenna. It’s pronounced like the legend tennis player, Serena. I started my content creation on YouTube. My channel name is That’s So Renna. Like That’s So Raven. Corny I know, but that’s just how we are here. I am on Instagram as well. I work with hair companies, small business owners/ boutiques, and promote their products. I don’t try to make everything seems like an ad, I just notice something is genuine quality and feel the desire to share it with others. I recently transitioned my focus over to TikTok and have seen amazing results just within a few months. I think what sets me apart from others is my transparency as well as, I’m not that focused on the numbers. I am mostly focused on the community I am building.
: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My ultimate goal is to open up a creative space where other creatives such as podcasters, models, photographers, beauticians, etc cause use to create their content aesthetically and budget friendly way.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part is my viewers and supporters. We are like a virtual family. They reach out to me via email or Instagram DM to check on me or to let me know how certain content resonates with them and it’s so heartwarming. If I can just help one person in any way, that’s what is most rewarding to me.
