We were lucky to catch up with Singa B recently and have shared our conversation below.
Singa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
When you choose to express your experiences, thoughts, and emotions through the art of music, it conveys and communicates a global unspoken understanding. Stepping into the professional league of the music industry takes an eminse amount of gusto and courage while taking risks, charting unmarked territory. Me participating in an impromptu performance @ club SoHo in Hollywood, CA during the Grammys Week, takes guts and can be a risky choice of decisions. But it turns out that that was one of the most impactful decisions that helped molded my career. Making quite an impression, my raw soulful bluesy and original performance landed huge major opportunities and even a broader network community of Industry Executives and Professionals.

Singa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Ive been doing music ALL OF MY LIFE but this latest chapter of my music journey has chose me. I did not choose to be a blues artist. The blues called on me. And so I accepted the call and now have transformed traditional & contemporary blues into a new sound. Something called BRAND NEW BLUES. Coincidently I have always be submerged in the blues future community and arenas, from me accompanying other tiger acts at that time. So had always been well versed in the genre, but with life changing situations and occurrences, I found myself down on Blues boulevard.
The deeper I go down this road of blues, the more I discover how I was meant to birth this new sound, through and with the blues. I also discover how many people round the globe either has the Blues, Knows the blues, knows somebody goin through the blues, or is just an avid lover of the heart wrenching sound that the blues brings.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Making my listeners cry. them crying from either tears of pain or tears of joy. It lets me know that, more than reciting the lyrics, that they feel the lyrics and that I’m able to take the back to hose moments to heal from and grow from.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yea, my Goal is to unite as many of God’s children through my music & through my love. Being an example of true Love, an example of what a family man, a believer, a driven passionate poise and courageous person must go through to overcome and achieve ultimate success. I strive to always be better than my yesterday and setting the tone for my future self. Ive found that through this journey while meeting so many other lives, that ours is precious and we must use it and put it to good use.
