We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Simone Busby Regan-Lea Jenkins . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Simone Busby below.
Hi Simone Busby, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Our story starts off as a fun night helping a lifetime friend of ours. We agreed to help our friend, Olivia, set up for an engagement party that she was throwing for some of our other friends. She pulled us in to help her create a balloon arrangement to go down the stairwell in her house. At this time, we were blowing up balloons using our mouths and one hand pump, just the air from our body and tons of forearm strength. So, we were blowing up balloons individually for what seemed liked forever.
It’s so fun to look back on the outcome of that experience and see how far our work has come. This is prior to studying any techniques to speed up our balloon prep time. Now, our balloon prep looks entirely different. We approach each new request with a strategy and take each experience as an opportunity to learn and continue to grow.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Start by prioritizing respect and transparency. Often times teams are made up of different backgrounds, demographics, political associations, education levels, attitudes/temperaments, communication styles, and many other factors. The easiest way to manage differences in a group and promote a positive workplace is to encourage a respectful, positive environment. Providing clear communication lines between the team allows the team to share information effectively and freely.
It’s important to remember positive behavior usually rubs off on the rest of the team.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media has been our best source of new clients. Social media has provided us with an incredibly effective way to engage with new, current and prospective customers. Through social media, we have been able to make interacting with our customers thrilling. With that, we have found fun ways to generate more leads and engage with our customers through contests, by sharing exciting news about our growth and new products, and promoting special offers. The social media platforms that have proven to work for our business have been: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.
