Sherlene, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
When I first started it was just a routine for me to just post my outfits as inspiration. Which then after posting for many years. People started to encourage me to get into content creation. They would always say that they can see me as an influencer because I’m doing it anyway. So a simple act of just showing my outfits turned into me getting brand deals with top names in the business. Such as Walmart,Target and Amazon to name a few. I started to look into how I can scale my business and get in front of different brands. Do I started trying different methods such as ;try on hauls, GRWM. I have even took pieces of clothing as is and turned them into other pieces. Like taking a shirt and turning it into a skirt. Which is yet fashionable and functional all at the same time. There is and will always be a lot to figure out.
The fashion industry is a huge one, which constantly changes daily. New styles are introduced to us on the regular. So I have had to purchase a whole lot of electronics to help with my setup. I just went for it because I was doing it before anyway. I do get weak in the knees sometimes but that feeling eventually passes and I get right back on track.

Hello everyone my name is Sherlene Jean Baptiste. On social media I’m known as Shelly Innovative Hands. I have a love for fashion ,and all things beauty. I try on clothing and give my honest reviews to my community.
After coming from a global pandemic many persons still love to shop from the comfort of their home. So with me going I to try the clothes and on and show the new in arrivals . It helps the viewer to see what is available and also how it may fit them. I’m most proud of having built a community that truly love and understand and also supports my journey. Their support fuels the fire under me and pushes me to greatness. One of my videos went viral and it was a huge deal for me to see the amount of people. That came across that video and the amount of positive comments I’ve read. Encouraging me to continue with my journey of content creation and some even said that they will also try the style.
My brand is all about honesty, authenticity and vibrancy. My brand helps the everyday woman in embracing herself . We also encourages my supporters to use what they have . While working towards what they desire.
We have participated in some charity work and our brand is looking to partner with some organizations in providing women with cancer . With units to help them feel better about themselves. We do advocate for women to look ,feel and be their best selves each and every day. We do have a number of projects we’re working on and as soon as we get the green light to talk about we will. Later inform you and our supporters. We are working behind the scenes to help women be great no matter where they are in the life.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
There would be a lot of things that that noncreative would not understand. For instance as a creative you can spend an entire day recording a content and then you go back and realize that you didn’t record a thing. Or your footage was recorded on slow motion. So it may not be able to be used on the video you intended it to. Or the weather isn’t favorable for you to shoot on the outside. Even to the point of running after brands to get pay for the work you have done for them. Which they received.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My willingness to help upcoming content creators is what have helped me build my reputation within my market. I have taken the time to show what I know to the ones new in their career path. My eagerness to wanting to see others win and give them advice. On how they to can upscale their business.
