Telling our Canine Companions clients stories in a meaningful way to help spread our mission to the public.

Sarah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I work as a public relations and marketing coordinator for the nonprofit organization Canine Companions. Canine Companions provides expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities, completely free of charge. We also provide facility dogs to people working in healthcare, law enforcement and educational settings.
Canine Companions is the largest and oldest provider of service dogs in the United States. We have placed over 8,000 human-canine teams since our founding in 1975.
Canine Companions is leading the way so that more people and their service dogs can live their lives to the fullest, by providing best-in-class training, cutting-edge research and a deeply committed community of support.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, the goal when creating marketing and communications plans is to highlight the work of the mission of Canine Companions through powerful storytelling and images.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part for me is to see the vision and hard work of the team come to life. Also, to see tangible results in increases in donations, followers, engagement and media stories.
