We were lucky to catch up with Sarah Mccallum recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
I took a massive risk three years ago and began investing in myself through a healing arts program that was priced outside of my comfort zone. I was a mother to young children and had all of the reasons as to why this money should go towards other obligations or commitments beyond myself. But I had the desire to take a risk and jump in, not knowing where I would land. It was terrifying and yet I’ve grown more in the last three years than ever before. As an entrepreneur I have learned so much around how to fully embody my gifts and embrace my process. Taking risks is simply part of the journey of entrepreneurship. I am so grateful to have found the strength and courage to go full steam ahead for that decision completely shifted the trajectory of my life for the better!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I discovered massage therapy while living in Hawaii. The islands welcomed me with so much grace and beauty. I learned traditional Hawaiian massage techniques and really felt such a strong pull to the energy of the islands. I have a spiritually focused style of massage therapy. I am highly intuitive and allow these gifts to guide me through my sessions with clients. I decided to uplevel and move into further education around the healing arts a few years ago when enrolling in Kairos Healers Academy. Here I have learned to hone in on my intuitive and psychic talents and offer more than just bodywork focused modalities. My love for astrology and other realms has led me to broaden my menu to services rooted in psychic skills. I am so inspired to continue to evolve and grow as a healer!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
My best source of new clients has and always will be word of mouth. I have actually never spent a dollar on advertising. I am an active member of my community, I engage with the public and get my face out there. I truly enjoy connecting with others in person and this has benefited my practice immensely.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by paying attention to their lives and asking questions/checking in. I am a genuine and authentic listener and one who truly cares about the well being of my clients. It is not just about creating income, it is so much more about connection and community.
