We recently connected with Sarah Manza and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope that I’m seen as the girl who had fun doing the thing she loved. I want to be remembered as free spirited, friendly, and good at what I do!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a freelance photographer based in South Florida. Mostly the Broward area. I do a little of everything: portraits, weddings, parties, school events, but my main niche is concert photography!
What sets me apart is how I run my business. I’m very upbeat and friendly, and I love what I do. Every show, shoot, and event, I try to capture more than just a moment, I capture the emotion. And I make sure I have fun doing it! I’m quick, and I always communicate with my clients! I like to get to know my clients on a personal level, so they feel as though they can trust me to capture such important moments.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Throughout high school, I’ve worked many jobs. I started at 14, working as a bagger at Winndixie, trying to save up as much as I could. When I was 16, I started a job as a barista in a juice bar, and I would work nearly every day after school to save up money, while also paying for my car. I used the money I had to pay for a new camera body, lenses, lighting, flash equipment, and I just recently begun putting together my in-home studio!

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Right now, my business is not full-time, simply because I haven’t finished school! I try to do shows and shoots every weekend, and once college is over, I plan to take the next step in turning my photography business full-time.
I have come a long way to reach where I am today. I started out as a silly teenager who liked taking pictures of trees and my friends in pretty dresses. But now, I’m a silly teenager who gets to go to shows a few times a week, capture special moments at weddings, and meet new and amazing people!
