Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samantha Moon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Samantha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
All my fruits were in one basket. I had nowhere else to put my faith but in what I set out to do which is to be a well-known singer who will, and is touching the hearts of many people all around the world. Once I had made up my mind about what I wanted to do, I had to go all in and I knew there was no turning back. It was time to keep going.
Samantha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Samantha Moon Singer-songwriter from the island of Dominica. I currently reside in Minnesota. I love music and for all my childhood life music is what I’ve seen and heard all around me. My family on both my Mom and Dad’s sides of the family love music and besides my natural gift I would say I was deeply influenced by the sounds of all different genres all around me. I know I had to want it more than anything else so I decided to take my self-serious musically and from that began the journey of being a full-time singer and songwriter/producer.
I’ve performed in a lot of places and venues around the world and I’ve worked with a lot of great producers, musicians, etc.
The business part of everything is very essential so my partner and I built a team of knowledgeable people who know what the task was and were ready to carry on the plan. Star Fruit music group and I came together to create a unisex brand parfume called Chanje Latè by Samantha Moon which is 85 percent oil-based. Everyone can find it online at www.DMoonshop.com

Every day I think of the role I play as part of society and I see that as an influencer it is important to spread more positive energy around the universe more than we do negative to help and heal all who require it.
I’m proud of the life I choose to live in terms of choosing my health and helping others to do so, choosing my words, and helping others to do so through music and communication. I’m proud of the products that we have contributed to our supporters and I’m thankful for everything. keep supporting and keeping the good vibes alive.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I would love to see more support for artists and independent artists like myself. keep supporting by promoting, sharing, buying music and buying artists’ products. That goes a long way.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn and learn that the music business is 85 percent and the artistry is 15 % sometimes even less. i practiced and practiced, and sang everywhere I could yes it made an impact but only a small difference compared to when you know all ropes of the music industry, or enough to get you in the right places. All of that doesn’t matter if you’re not with the right team.
